You dont have to test the lights, electrician has to do a legal sign off before handover, so he has to test them for you, my LED downlights were complete so they did work, the only other globe we had was one fitted to the stair well, thanks goodness as its so high up

Hi Archetto, yes splashbacks have to be fitted before hand over, but watch out, they dont know the rules, they use the word splasbacks very loosly, for starters my cook top has a 6mm toughened glass window as a splashback, so thats good enough, my kitchen sink is on an island bench so no splasback n...

Had final inspection today, had a close look at the tiling now that the glass is installed, the glass frame is strategically placed so that you cant see the exposed edge of the cut tile, all you can see is the mitred edge, all looks good.

I just looked at some close ups of my tiling in its early stages, the bath hob has mitred tiling where it meets the shower hob, but on the step into the hob its only mitred on one side, the ensuite is the same but where we have the raised hob joining the cabinet its only mitred on one side again, so...

They only used the mitred edges on one of the edges, the lower step on the hob, shame really, but it looks ok, we didnt know they were going to use mitred edges so when I saw them it was a bonus anyway.

Thanks Triggy, got it sorted now, went with Aus Post online, there is a section that allows you to ' Report missing mail' I reported that my house insurance documents had gone missing, which they had, they investigated and found my house was not on the posties route, his route got updated and so far...

I figured the post issue out, forget phoning or visiting post offices, its just a frustrating waste of time, go online at the regular post website and click to report missing mail, it asks you to put your address in and submit it, a day later I got an e mail from the post office to say that the prob...
