No, we didn't get a private inspector in the end. Yes, the CDC is instead of a DA and Construction Certificate. The ceritifier will approve the plans and then check various stages of the build to ensure it complies. They will also issue the Occupation Certificate at the end (we're still waiting). Th...

Are you not going through a CDC? We didn't have to do a DA, which surprised me no end. We have built further forward on our block than either of our neighbours so I thought for sure we'd have to do a DA with a boundary relaxation request, but we got a CDC without too much drama.
