I wouldn't say it is overly common. The doors shouldn't be that heavy to bow the lintel down, unless the lintel was underspec to start with. Hopefully whoever installed the doors left a gap between the door frame and the house frame. If this is the case it is simply a matter of opening the doors up,...

Agree with Doorkeeper. Although it's important to know that Meranti is an Asian imported timber.
