(builder finally paid off the balance after I wrote a long email giving him sh*ts) So for future forum user's reference, if this happens, does home owners just call the police directly if the supplier does enter the property to retrieve anything part of the building?

Have hand over been done? Supplier have right to retain their goods back if builder doesn't pay. Unless there is a defects dispute I wouldn't say it's an official handover. The builder towards the later stage just slowed down and is not finishing off little jobs. But I have moved in regardless and ...

Is it not in your contract that he needs to pay you a certain amount per day that the build runs over the period indicated? I think from memory the standard Master Builders contract clause says $50 per day unless you nominate and agree on a different figure. yes. not $50 though. Only agreed on $15 ...

My sister has those square internal door handles.....they look stylish and nice. But make sure they tighten it and make it straight. CoZ through time of use, they loosen up a bit and once it's not straight, it doesn't work with people with OCD. Great selection though. Love the stone bench throughout.

It's around $2.5k for a standard 3m splash back. Seriously? That sounds really cheap! Where are you getting the marble from? Keep in mind.....the 2.5k per 3m slab is about right. Rough figures that i have seen are around the $600 mark, installed. That's when the system is installed.
