Mckz your driveway appears very similar to mine and they only used 1 load and credited me 2 loads.

Yes Upsize. Its a good test during the maintenance period. Ours passed fine and I'm pretty impressed with the drainage as there was no water logging anywhere. Still not impressed by door handles falling off because they were not screwed on properly or had screws missing!

Loop, It depends where you are in the estate. If you are on Wilandra I would expect 12.5 since you are within 100 metres of the bush and it is on a downhill slope.

I recall for stage 1 Ross kept the fences up for as long as possible to prevent issues such as illegal soil dumping which has happened in other estates.

Upsize, I believe its around $500 for Termguard to inject the chemicals and this will last for 3 years. Each year you need to spend nearly $200 for a termite inspection. Even if Kurmond injected the chemicals, once you do landscaping, the soils are disturbed and the warranty is void unless you re-fi...

Looks awesome Bazinga... Like the window that you have over your stairs...wishing we did something like that now! :) Question for anyone who has built with K and live in an Opticomm estate: Did kurmond or sentinel do the conduit run from the comms pit to the house? I've noticed that the hills home ...

I got connected to NBN 2 weeks ago and the service has been very good. At Gardeners Ridge we are on the Stringer Rd FDH cabinet. HeathWild, is your neighbours order still held up? If there are no ports available NBN need to install another multiport. Sometimes the contractors may not install the rig...

Scott, our site was classified as M, however with higher than normal salinity, we needed a reinforced M slab.

My sentiments the same Upsize! Relaxing by the pool...we'll be a few weeks away from that. I'm concerned we may have less than 50% of the required soft landscaping, but it will only save us money to use pebbles instead of stone pavers for paths. At last our B&D garage door is being installed on ...

Thanks for the locksmith details Upsize. I actually checked all my locks today and the laundry and external garage deadlocks didn't work! Another issue which needs to be fixed. One thing I haven't been happy with is the quality of gyprock work and subsequent paintwork in the main corridor.

Congrats Upsize! With the garage door, I think we can get a locksmith to install a deadlock with the same key. I really think Kurmond should've given us the option to upgrade, since we didn't think about it. Blazing a should be handing over next and also mckz you're approaching in a little while.

Thanks for clarifying Big Mama. I hope we can get a deadlock keyed alike. Crazy that your plans took ages to get approved but at least you'll start shortly.

I think you're expected to finalise within 2 days of the walk through. The packing is much harder with 3 little ones. But since most our stuff is in boxes it's not too bad. I could never get onto Phil's landscaper so we are going with Instyle Landscape and Paving. Anyway if it continues to rain the ...

Hey Upsize, Exciting that you're getting so close!! We are moving in next Wednesday. It's all too hectic to really celebrate :) Maybe after we are in. We delayed appliances till after moving in as we should have our blinds and there is less chance of theft. We went into the office immediately after ...

Upsize, Yes we finally got our keys on Wednesday. A bit of an anti climax because of a number of outstanding paint issues still. But we just cannot afford to delay handover, so the painter is coming this morning to do post handover touch ups. There are a couple of other items getting put on the main...

Hey Upsize. Your driveway is looking great! I assume Reece did yours also. He does a very good job. He'll come back in a week or so to seal it properly. Ses, the bench top is polar white. We could've gone with some darker speckles but we're happy with it. Yes frustrations are a normal part of building. As long as the end product is there. Our supervisor has been fantastic too, so no complaints really.

Thanks for reminding me Upsize, I think I have an electric bill from memory to pay. We have to foot the bill. It's also common in new estates for neighbouring builders to use your power when they can get away with it! Mainly we had paint and gyprock issues, however many of them I would've let slide....

Good progress guys. It seems we are still about 3 weeks away. Our soil test was also not required as my developer provided the soil classification. Only the bore holes were required. Otherwise, as soon as Kurmond have access to the land (after registration usually), that's when the soil test should occur.
