Hey guys! Im looking to build in Mt Barker later this year, and was wondering how much $$ footings has set you back? Thanks! Hi there! We built on a flat block in the Orchard section of Bluestone, so we were quite lucky... Less than $20k in site costs, and no rock :) But I do know some other areas ...

I don't doubt it... But it isn't always the same for every single one of their builds. Especially state by state. Different trades and SS's. Just because your mate had a bad build with them doesn't mean someone else will... I didn't! Friends of ourswho also built with them 2 years ago when they firs...

With all due respect, I think we hear that about every builder at some point... "I know x, y, z who say they wouldn't touch builder a, b and c with a ten foot pole" Listening to hearsay gets you nowhere, employ and independent engineer/inspector at each stage - invest the money and sleep s...

Our build with Simonds was built in 19 weeks, site cut to keys. We had an independent inspector at every stage who picked minor issues that were rectified straight away. We have been in for 8 months now and are thrilled with our home. We live in a brand new street within a development. The key diffe...

Thanks McLaren! Pretty much Merbau decking to match the deck all along the width of the deck, opposite the stackers - just to close it in.

Ours is in the garage. They aren't the prettiest things, not hideous - but still, I prefer to have it out of the way. Having bulky power supplies on a wall in the house wouldn't be my first choice in room decoration if they didn't have to be there! Our house is cat 6 cabled for telstra velocity requ...

We are living on a brand new street. As a result there is a lot of construction happening at neighbouring houses... A few of the builders we haven't seen tradies there since the 19th of December (Fairmont, Hickinbothan/Statesman & Sterling). But a few other builders - Rivergum, Format and Dechel...

Welcome Aussiepam! Very interested to hear your build story and see it progress. We had a really great experience with Simonds and would definitely use them again. We've heard some very average stories from our neighbours, friends and family and comparing to our last build experience - this one was ...

It's absolutely beautiful. I thought it just had to be a veneer... Oh well! I'd be very interested to see what it actually is... I'd love it if i could use it on something myself! Hehe

I think that actually may be a timber veneer with a gloss. Not a laminex/melamine product. If you do some image searches of ""Timber veneer gloss kitchen" you'll see very similar results to what you're looking for, but it's quite costly in comparison to the laminex or melamine versions.

Tc, our water bull during the build was 3kl, so less than $7 in water charges. Barely anything on top of the normal supply charge. The power was minimal also, I think the bill was $70 for that quarter. Origin has no cancellation fees so I just churned to our regular provider when we moved in and it ...

We killed two birds with one stone... We needed a new cordless phone set up, and whilst shopping we noticed this Telstra one came with a wireless video doorbell set up. It rings through the handsets, very loud, as the visitor presses the doorbell it snaps a picture. You can answer the handset and it...
