I don't think Kek's reference to similar kind of matters is irrelevant at all. They are fair analogies. It's like, "if we give them an inch, they take a mile" -sort of thinking. If we let them use their water, are they soon going to start using noisy tools at wrong hours? leave rubbish on ...

Yep I'd want them to be the same as the floor tiles too. they can cut them to the 200x300 size if that's the size you prefer :)

I'm certainly no expert but I've been recommended having the colour all the way through the concrete, as if the top sealer bit ever wears off anywhere you'd have an odd patch. It costs a bit more but not much more in my experience, and you can still have a clear sealer put on top.

Hi Bam, pretty sure ours is 250L too. However we have occasionally run out, if I wash my hair and DH wants to have a shower straight after, he sometimes can't have a very long one. At the moment the kids have a bath at the other end of the day, but I don't like to think what will happen when there a...

same as suh here - have the metal strips and have been in 2.5 years and no scratches. I think you'd have to be pretty rough with something pretty solid in the shower to cause scratches to them!? perhaps if you scrubbed at them with an abrasive cleaner? in any case ours are still fine, I just wipe ov...

not sure how much ducted heating would be but if it's only the living area you want to heat and it is on the small side I'd go for the gas log fire. we had one in our old home (2 bedroom edwardian cottage type place) and it heated the living area beautifully. Even though we have ducted now, we hardl...

definitely a great idea to double and triple check all your plans and specs! we also have this epic thread, you might like to have a read through to see if you have covered everything, and/or feel free to add anything that hasn't been covered! :) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t...

- Replacing the rangehood now will be much cheaper it won't be cheaper if they won't let you replace it though! have you looked into whether there are rangehoods around whose installation won't mean re-designing your kitchen cupboards, or are you just taking Burbank's word for it? I'd probably do s...

Hi atsang2047 and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I don't think there is a straightforward answer to your question. Every builder has their good and bad points and what is good for one customer may not be good for another customer. Every builder will also likely have happy and unhappy customers,...

Do you prefer for them to tile the bath hob first so to make sure there are no tiles being cut at the exposed corner of the bath? yes Do you prefer whole (uncut) tiles to be at the top or bottom? bottom. In the dro...
