Thanks Shirokuma. I did call Blackett Homes but they were charging $1,000 for a quote and it is non-refundable :(

You are right Mark. I would rather have delays with good quality built than fast and crap. In my case, they are taking their time (took 5-6 months to lockup) and they have cut corners which I am not happy about! I am trying my best to get the most of the bad situation.

I just looked at your blog HomeAngels and it seems that you are in the same boat as me... things are delays after delays! Though at least your builder hasn't stuff up your house (compare to mine :S). So is your house on lock-up yet?

I would say March when they started the work because there are a few paperwork to get done before they can commence work like getting DA approval etc. Anyone disagree? Btw. That's a long contract term!

No the director is definitely not Mentor - you are safe :) I will probably walk around the neighborhood on the weekend and see if I can see my builder projects as I cannot find them on the local council website :(

Thanks for all advice guys. I will look up at the local council website to check out the approved DA. I guess I will try to me more firm. I thought being nice and give them incentives don't work. Sometimes I actually regret on my decision of building a house :( PS: I live in the ACT
