I recommend painting the walls with a sealer. We had plaster issues in a house years ago. We tested different sealers and found that a Dulux outdoor paint sealer penetrated the plaster and hardened it to some extent. Thank you. Hi everyone, we’ve just bought a 4 year old house (WA) with rather poor white set plaster work - lots of crazing, small cracks across most walls. Just a quick update. Floor looking as bad as ever. 2 years and 3 months. We are basically going to let it go to ruin further and then if we sell up we will replace the worst parts. Looselay might be easier to look then timber, but you can't sand looselay back and reseal. This floor is certainly not foolproof. If you're not careful it will scratch and look sad.
