Hi @Serialbuilder Unfortunately, applying another skim coat or wall paper, no easy cost effective fix The house is past the maintenance period and it's not a structural defect. Thank you, I have made more enquiries since your reply and yes I feel we’d have zero recall on the issue, so will deal wit...

I recommend painting the walls with a sealer. We had plaster issues in a house years ago. We tested different sealers and found that a Dulux outdoor paint sealer penetrated the plaster and hardened it to some extent. Thank you. I’m pretty sure these walls weren’t painted with a sealer prior to appl...

Hi everyone, we’ve just bought a 4 year old house (WA) with rather poor white set plaster work - lots of crazing, small cracks across most walls. Has anyone ever fixed this to a decent standard and can offer some tips for us? Wall tiling is also very poor with approx 10% of all wall tiles semi crack...

I'd like to German Smear/Mortar Wash an internal wall and the basic material is white mortar. However, I can't find white mortar for sale. Does anyone know if it can be bought in Australia or if I have to make it up. If it's the latter, can anyone recommend a mix/recipe so that I can achieve a whit...
I’d love to know how yours turned out. Have you got a photo?

Just a quick update. Floor looking as bad as ever. 2 years and 3 months. We are basically going to let it go to ruin further and then if we sell up we will replace the worst parts. Please remember it wasn't th Looselay we ended up using, it was the Van Gogh. Still adore the colour and look but can't...

Wish the sales people at shop and Karndean had been honest, asked this very question many times over. It's all just about the money. Makes me sick.

Hey Renski, Not sure if it's the dark floor. Regret going for the stripping and resealing, we thought it would help. It's showing the marks even more now. Just don't care anymore. Still looks nice enough and guests dont really notice it and we are happy enough to have it for a couple of more years. ...

We were meant to get the country oak. I would love it if you post some photos please. :) I think this flooring would be fine with a small to medium sized dog. We have two big boofy things sliding across it and that's pushing the envelope

Looselay might be easier to look then timber, but you can't sand looselay back and reseal. This floor is certainly not foolproof. If you're not careful it will scratch and look sad. We just had our vinyl planks stripped and resealed (kind of like timber but not haha) and it made no difference to the...
