You are right, you have not heard our neighbours version of events. We know what happened and have other neighbours who witnessed the whole thing and are happy to verify the abovementioned events in court, if required. Before this happened to us we would have thought it unbelievable and "far-fe...

We are proud of the way we have behaved in response to our neighbour's intimidating and aggressive behaviour and only considered an Intervention Order when our children and us felt threatened by these people abusing us at our front door at night and attempting to gain unlawful entry whilst ranting a...

Well it has been over a week and happily no more late abusive visits. We have had a reflective tint put on the upstairs hallway window which has made the children feel better as the neighbours can't see them as clearly during the day. Tomorrow blinds will be installed on all the windows and doors (5...

Thank you again for your words of support and ideas. It is really helpful to be able to write about our frustration and get feedback. We spent the night dreaming up imaginative and vindictive ways to manage spot lights and their behaviour which obviously we will not action but certainly made us feel...

I am enjoying your naughty side - do you know if we had the lights on at night in the passage would they be able to see us with this sort of film? and where do you buy it? Thanks

We have lived on block for many years before rebuild so have good relations with most neighbours, which is a relief. We will install further blinds and are considering putting reflective glass on offending upstairs passage window hoping that the spotlight will be reflected out rather than in. Not su...

Thanks. That is a really good idea about the emails and recording all incidents. Hope your neighbour doesn't continue to be intrusive.

I don't know if this is the correct place to post my experience but here goes: we moved into our lovely double storey home two months ago with our four children. Our side boundary neighbours have been talking to other people in our street about how inconsiderate we are to build a double storey home ...

We have a cupboard over the fridge and have got the sparky to put in the power point for the fridge in there so we don't have to pull the fridge out to turn the switch on and off. We store recipe books there.

Thanks for all the advice, it has made the decsion process easier! Due to Petal's remarks we are looking at a plush in Cavalier Bremworth's range, colour: society. We have decided to go with Dunlop Ultimate underlay. That carpet SuH looks beautiful, hope you are close to making a decision too.

Thanks for all the replies. We are leaning towards the plush as all our children have cast their vote for the "soft" one! The carpet is mainly in the upstairs (bedrooms) area so hopefully staining will not be a big problem. Has anyone heard of this Supertuft brand? Is it a good brand and is $275/ li...

We are at the point of deciding which carpet to lay in our new house. We have read most of the posts but still remain confused and we were hoping for some advice. After much discussion we have decided on 100% wool carpet. We have four children and two outside pets. We are building a new house and wi...

Can anyone tell us how much extra it costs to build a double storey home and what makes it so much more expensive (other than the staircase)? We have been told various figures ranging from $15K to $50K. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes we are meeting with one of the consultants, yet to meet a designer though. He seems to think a house could be built with Fasham for that budget. The block has a slight fall, left to right and is 50ft wide by 134 ft deep. Good luck with your house. Hope all goes to plan. Are you building a single...

We are in the early stages of deciding to build a new home. We have visited several display villages but as we require five bedrooms those designs are quite limited. We are considering building with Fasham Homes in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and were wondering if anyone on this forum has any e...
