I took one of the window catches off one of the downstairs windows and let myself in when ever I feel like it.... Our neighbours did the same during their build... I have caught a few things that might have otherwise been issues by seeing what was going on regularly. Cheers

Agreed i wouldnt do this in my home, but its a small room for 2 rows of couches - just trying to make more fit. There are compromises everywhere - cavity sliders mean no fireplace as well. Cheers

IMO put the doors in the wall next to the living / dining. Use cavity sliders so when they are open they dont use valuable room space. I would place couches where the doors are now and look torwards the exterior wall (or vice versa) I am not sure that you really have room for 2 rows of couches given...
