Trace the stems back to the central stork and pull them out. Yes it may be/seem impractical/time consuming if you have lots but it really is the only way. +1 This is what I did. However I was very proactive in keeping my lawn weed free so if you catch it early and remove it you save a LOT of time b...

Really they just needs frequent watering but don't leave them soggy all the time. Given enough water to prevent them drying/dieing out completely and enough time they should be recoverable.

EZ doesn't go brown just because its summer. It will go brown if: a) fungal infection (brown spot) b) not enough water - this happens with any lawn. If it is kept watered and healthy in can look fantastic. If you keep it on the long side it will block out any weeds from growing. I had EZ at my last ...

Really a Dingo is not that hard to operate. As long as you have good entry space to get it around back you won't have problems. When they drop it off they'll give you a tutorial etc. they are pretty straight forward. It just means your costs will be a lot higher if you have to pay an operator - but ...

Don't want to hire a Dingo for a few days and do it yourself? That way you can get the soil to the spec you want. Lay your reticulation and level your soil ready to go. Then just pay someone to deliver and lay your turf. That's what I did anyways for my previous home (Though I added reticulation lat...

Well I can't view your pictures at the moment to determine how bad it is. If most of the damage has been done, you can just leave it and it will eventually re-grow. This is what happened with my lawn, as per this thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=63244 Otherwise I can't h...

[Brisbane weather conditions are not even remotely similar to melbourne. Edit - the reason im pointing this out is op was asking about the timing also. Not all turf will do well if planted middle of wintwr in melb. True, the weather conditions are quite different but the lawn types he asked about d...

You'll be fine with any of the lawn types, they all look great if looked after. I put down 180 square metres of EZ at my last house in Bris (just moved) and after doing the soil properly it looks great and if you leave it longer it grows so thick I never need to weed it. It still grows fast though a...

powerfeed and seasol will be fine. You should add some molasses as well. What I do is dilute a cup of molasses in 1L of boiling water in a 9L watering can, then half fill with cold water, then add half a cup of seasol and half a cup of powerfeed and fill the rest of the watering can. It's what Fu Ma...

Well there is a rust lawn disease which is what you've had then. While the result may be the same, mine only suffered rust in the shaded areas. I have areas in full sun and they did not rust but still died off from something as per the photos. Rust disease is from being in the shade too much with we...

Hey guys. Not really surprised I haven't had any replies, though I did manage to catch one and get a photo of it. Due to the size, it's very hard to get much detail but here it is: http://imgur.com/9jKmN6j Don't suppose that helps at all.

Yeah I just posted a new thread and had a look back at this one. The lawn completely recovered from those patches - though the shaded area I actually replaced with same spare lawn. It was starting to re-grow when I replaced it but it had died off more or less completely. *However* I am now getting t...

Hey guys, So I have a large number of these little bugs congregating on my EZ in a particular area - they number in the dozens. I am not sure what they are and if they are harmful. They appear to sit on the lawn tips, not doing much until disturbed - then they fly around a bit before landing again. ...

Thanks for your response! I will use plywood instead of MDF then thanks for your suggestion. I have found Masters sell a 500mm steel support bracket, so a pair of those should support the front edge perfectly:D

Is it a large area that has Kikuyu coming through? If it's only a small area I'd just keep pulling it out by hand until eventually it can't re-grow. I've done that with couch infestations into my EZ and it's worked every time. Though my EZ is 3" long and very thick so nothing else can grow thro...

Hey guys, I am putting a couple of bench tops outside as part of my WFO pizza oven area. I have 17mm polished granite bench tops 2000mmx850mm and I would just like a confirmation from those more knowledgeable that what I plan to do will be OK. One of the two bench tops will be sitting on a brick U s...

I've read a lot about mowing heights for Zoysia and while they say it can be kept at 1.5" or so I find mine keeps best at 3" minimum and this is what I currently keep mine at. The longer height leaves it looking lush, requires less mowing and work and helps prevent weeds getting a foot hol...

SW for $7/metre?!? That's a bargain. I have never seen it under $10. I paid $7.50 for EZ and that was a great price.
