Hi Grom. Thanks, so you think it may be getting too much water? That has always been in the back of my mind, as it is quite a big pot, and I'm wary of ensuring there is enough water there.

Hi all. I'm having some problems with my dwarf lime tree. It's has been going gangbusters of recent, but just recently I've noticed some of the leaves curling up. I've had citrus leaf miner before, and use white oil on the leaves, and this seems to have fixed that problem, but I'm not sure what the ...

Hi guys. We have a massive problem with ants in our spa. It is an above ground spa, with a cover made of timber, rubber and Styrofoam. They are eating their way through the cover, and feasting on the rubber mainly, and burrowing into the styrofoam. They seem to come and go, but make a real mess, and...

Hi guys. Just want to know if there is a problem cutting back plum trees to fence height every year, or is that a bad practice? I have two, around 5-6 years old, and this time of year, I generally cut them back to fence height for convenience, as well as thinning out the branches. Also, while I'm at...

Thanks guys. I'm happy to report they are still green beneath the bark, and my Amber Jewel just sprung to life today. Here's hoping to my first crop.

Hi, I have a couple of plum trees in the back yard that I have trimmed down over winter and shaped. I am a little concerned that there aren't any new green shoots, or blossoms appearing on them. Is it still a bit early or is there a problem? I'm looking to put down some Osmocote shortly, with a good...

Hi Fu. Got the Rocket Fuel, got the Osmocote and a nice thick layer of mulch. Came home today to inspect my handy work from this morning, and noticed there was another beastie attacking my Lime tree. Any suggestions? I also noticed some leaves looked like they were rolled up. Not sure if they are ju...

Cheers Fu. If I use molasses when I am putting it on the lawn once a month, is this sufficient? Also, is it ok to use grass clippings as I have done to date to cover the base of the lime tree? I'll have to get some Osmocote and Rocket Fuel - do Bunnings sell Rocket Fuel? Thanks.

Hi all. Can anyone offer some advice on what is happening to my dwarf Tahitian Lime tree? Brown on the ends of the leaves have been creeping on over the last 4 or 5 days, but there is also new shoot growing on the tips. I have attached a photo. Thanks. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa330/tajen...

Haha, the faux terracotta. It's actually plastic, but I'm concerned maybe it's a little on the small side.

Hi guys. I know it should be growing like a weed, but I'm really struggling to get a mint crop to grow in a pot. When we bought it, it was really leafy and healthy, and now it looks pretty sick. Is the pot too small? I fertilize once every week or two with seasol, and water every day. It pretty much...

Hi all. Just been introduced to your site, looks like plenty of interesting reading coming up :) We've just put down two plum trees, one being an Amber Jewel, and I can't quite remember the other. The Amber Jewel is just over six foot tall, and is long and skinny. It came with a bamboo stake in the ...
