You are going to struggle to get a lawn for this summer but to get rid of the weeds I reckon roundup is the way to go. Get the concentrate, not the premixed sprays, and follow the instructions exactly with regards to concentration (also give it time to kill the roots before trying to cut them or pu...
Thanks so much for your quick reply. Would Empire Zoysia keep weeds out as well as Kikuya? It's pricey I know, but I re...

Hey guys I need your help. Family circumstances have meant that our backyard has gone to ruins over the last year. I've just been out there trying to use a manual hedge cutter to cut down the 1.5m tall weeds and I cannot believe how bad it is. We appear to have dozens of different types of weeds out...

Thanks for the reply kek. Anyone else got any advice? Is the general consensus that you should hand weed instead of spraying?

We have couch in our front and back yard and it's absolutely covered with weeds and has gone feral. Firstly we're going to get out there and start ripping out the big weeds etc - what kind of product can we use to kill off the weeds that won't also kill the grass? Secondly we will ideally be weed fr...

Any recommendations for landscapers who can do a pretty big job for us - we basically want to pull up everything front and back and re-do it. The couch grass we have now is just a mess of weeds and is horrid. Would like someone who actually knows about Fu's type of soil-prep, because the last person...

Hey guys I posted a little while ago saying we were very seriously considering artificial grass because our current turf is just a nightmare and we are NOT gardening people and can't be bothered with maintenance. We're still somewhat considering it, but I'm really still wanting to have a real turf. ...

Yeah he did a fantastic job, I will PM you their details. Heya Could you PM me the name of the person who did the planter box as well? Was the $700 just the rendering, or building it as well? Hey guys I sent two separate PM's to "homeone" as was instructed in various threads (one was to change my registered email address, the other was another issue) and haven't received any reply at all, nor has my email address been updated. Is there someone else I can contact who will reply?...

Yeah, we know we'll need a plumber/gas fitter to install it. So just cutting out a few centimetres of the benchtop is going to cost a fortune hey? Bugger.

You may want to anchor them lower than the top of the fence because if it rains it will channel all of the run off over your neighbour's side. I think that would be a no no. Just a thought.... HAH! Oh my goodness, that's a very good point. I didn't even think of that

I have couch -Santa anna I think or a similar variety - and I dont find that. If the concrete border is a few inches deep and you trim the runners from the lawn edges, it really is quite manageable - see pic below of my back garden - and this is after haveing couch for about 3 years, you can see it...
Wow, that looks so dark green and thick and lush! *jealous*
