Hi Thattime, Not sure if you are still around but I we are about to build with Coral and at tender stage and I wanted a facade like this - not exactly but very similar and they said that the closest they can do is Hamptons but I don't want hamptons so I'm wondering what did you say to them to get t...

Looks great. I am signing up with Coral on Noosa 25... Interested to know whether in the final contract did they specify expected completion date? And what clause did they specify if they cannot meet the expected completion date ? I am signing up this week and they are promising completion before C...
Firstly, what type of signing do you mean? Actual fixed price contract signing (post colour selection etc) or putting d...

Hi All, I wanted to make an update to this thread. Firstly the Photobucket hosted images have been bothering me so I've relinked them all to another service. They're showing reliably now. I'm also coming back to HomeOne to check other build threads as we prepare to get into our second build. We sold...

Hi Stellabella. I'm just refreshing my old thread and noticed you were building again. We're getting ready for our 2nd build too. You're handling the builder situation very well. Very good to see that frame protected now - fantastic roof line on your place too. Please keep us updated, I'll be follow...

With the steel framing, I would certainly go with continuous (blanket type) outside insulation for both walls and roofing Agree, and it's a good thing they're mandatory under a steel roof. At least in NSW that I know of. But I wonder how efficient the roof blankets are, or how much efficiency is lo...

Our bank does not need any Occupation Certificate and our SS told me that handover would happen quickly then. But I would prefer to get this certificate as it may impact the insurance, I'm not sure. How was it for you? Great news on the PCI date. Not long now. Things had got a bit slow/bogged down ...

Hi Sukarabikun! Your build is looking great, it's good to see you're staying on top of the issues that come along. I'm surprised by how many bricks were left over, how many of them did you save? Isn't it amazing how much stuff gets thrown out during these builds. I like the size of that Alfresco! :D

Hi, we built with Coral too (in Sydney) and the look of your slab caught my eye. In case it's useful, here's how our Alfresco slab looks in relation to the termite strip... http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag125/ThatTime2/Post%20Build/Alfresco-Rear_zps3ef79f72.jpg http://i1302.photobucket.com/alb...

Now I understand why I got the same feeling looking at my A&L stacking doors... Your post confirmed my feeling. Yeah, I still haven't changed my mind on A&L. Some of the largest windows here have 5mm glass in them for safety reasons (i.e. the ability to trip and fall through them) and these...

I like what you've done with the Noosa design too. Very good. That Activity room and the doors opening to the Alfresco is a great look. Should be some lovely rooms there.

Love that frame! :D What happens with the stabbed pipes is the plumbers run the pipes too close to the slab. Then the concreters punch their stakes through them while putting the formwork up. We had a couple like this at our place - I've only just found another one too while putting in some drainage...

That's good to know I actually contacted coral and they are doing free upgrades to steel frames at the moment which is great! We think our land has sandstone in it. This will cost us a fortune won't it? (Please give me good news) Great news on the frame. I have heard they are selling a few of them ...

Not sure about steel frames. I think they were offering free upgrades at one stage. Steel is better for termites etc but could be an issue near water (rust). You're right, when they first offered steel it was an option in their Eclipse package. You could simply choose treated timber or steel. For m...

Hi everyone Does anyone know the cost to upgrade to a steel frame through coral? Hi! :D We built a Noosa with Coral and changed from timber to steel frames when we found out they were available. Your answer make me think that we might be in such state... So what kind of approach do you think would be the best one for someone who would still want to do his own data cabling. I mean, how would the best way, for this person, to put it when asking to the site supervisor? Non disclosure is king!...

Catching up on some recent action... Since we moved into the house I was watching our power bills and they were just too high. We've got a 4kW solar system on the roof and it wasn't making an impact on the bills. We were getting bills in the order of $750/quarter - just too much considering the powe...

Hi, I've got a couple of questions about the data cabling if you don't mind. Hi! No, I don't mind. I'm sorry that I don't check in on the forum very often these days and missed your questions. Have you used the pre-punched holes to run all of your cables or did you punch some additional ones? I use...
