Hi PB, My sister and I have just signed up with Redink, so I'm going through all the threads with info on them to get some tips. I love your basins for the ensuite (that's what I want in the main bathroom which is my bathroom). Were they an expensive upgrade? The basins and the toilet are really the...

Thanks Saemiseon. We're very excited. Lol, we still have to get pre-approval so that they can go to drafting and site survey's but we've already picked out a lot of our colours. We just have to go and see the colours in person to confirm.

Thanks for your input Saemiseon and Echo. We've decided to go with Redink (our sales rep, Jon from the strata section is brilliant) who we've just had another meeting with tonight. They've quoted us $30k as a worse case senario (c5) and $18k as a best case senario (c1) with us organising the soakwel...

Lol, sorry, I just reread my post. At the beginning I meant: Do these site works costs seem odd?

My sister and I bought a block earlier in the year which we are finally going to be building on. We've had one quote back so far from a builder and was wondering if anyone else thought these were a bit odd. Our block is a rear survey strata without a paved driveway. It looks pretty level, but we hav...

Phoenixrain I have spoken to Kris about getting a lot of the odds and ends ourselves. I redid parts of my house with my ex a few years back and even then, we found it cheaper getting a lot of stuff on the big "sales", etc. My Stepdad loves the auctions as well, and we picked up huge polish...

Hi, Yes our site works are high but Kenwick has an average of $20k - $40k so we're pretty much in the middle. We think it is worth it though as it is in a good location for us and not many of the estates near us can get close to what we've paid for the block even with the exorbitant site costs. Pheo...

Thanks for the replys Phoenixrain & Westy. Our block is 14x31. Quite narrow and very long. We've been told that someone may be interested in the block in front of us and they've had the site costs estimated. They're $30k which is right in the middle of the average for Kenwick and below what we'd...

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I've tried posting this topic about 3 times, but kept getting logged off before I finished, so last night I decided short and sweet would be better ::lol:: We still have to get plans properly drawn up. We have come up with some rough plans however, I can't download ...

Hi, My sister and I are going to be building on a battleaxe block in Kenwick which we're going to be living in with my daughter. We've pretty much come to the conclusion that we're going to have to do a custom build to be able to get what we want. We're building a 3x2 and have a budget of $200k incl...
