Keep in mind that Daikin units 20kw and above including large VRV systems are only rated to work with an outside temperature of 43c. Anything above this they won't operate at their rated capacity and may start to operate protection devices and shut down. The big Fujitsu units are rated to 46-48c and...

Okay, I have been fortunate enough to have a Daikin tech on site. Turns out that this particular model of Three phase inverters will only modulate in cooling mode. The technician called a few other people after witnessing my concern and everything checked out correct and confirmed that this is the d...

A quick update. Have now had multiple technicians look at the unit and none have been able to diagnose the issue even though they have all witnessed it and say it's not right. A new symptom is the unit goes into defrost when it's not required. 13c outside, no frost on the coils. Daikin keep making e...

Yeah, I have changed the temp sensing point, fan continuous, low low and off with compressor and tried all the different combinations. The outside unit is either "on or off" and doesn't change speed. Where are the savings of having an inverter if all it does (when heating) is turn on, rump...

It's set to heat, low fan, half of the zones are on. Just to confirm this is a ducted reverse cycle unit.

I have recently moved into a new home that has the following Daikin ducted air conditioner set up: Outdoor Unit: RZQ150HY4A (Super Inverter) Indoor Unit: FDYQ160KAV1 Controller: BRC1E61 When in heating mode the system seems to behave more like a traditional single speed air conditioner. When the the...

I have heard that myself, but with all brand (but Actron) as they are no longer made in Japan. Using cheap thin copper and lower quality componenets in China, I guess you just make sure you have a long warranty! Good to concider Fujitsu, Thanks!

Depending on the brand and installer, I beleive the cost is comparable to a zoned ducted system, if anything it would have a slight premium as it is not a "standard" install. I think any cost would be worth it as you can condition each room to a different tempriture, control the fan speed ...

4 at the most, One in each bedroom and one in the main living area. The KW works out to be the same as a normal ducted unit, 7-8KW for the main living area and 2.5 for the bedrooms. About 15KW in total. I know Daikin, LG and Mitsubishi do these systems. I think I will go with LG or Daikin. The only ...

Anyone have a Multi-head split system? Any advice, experience, do's and don'ts? For those who don't know, it's where you can have multiple indoor units connect to one outdoor unit. I was thinking this could be a better option than zoned ducted. I am sure the initial cost is a little more, but the am...
