We were quoted $300 PER drawer to do soft close through our builder, we have 14 drawers in the kitchen. I was aghast as I know they cost around $100. I contacted some kitchen companies and found a couple who would do it after handover for me, they would use the same drawer front but build new boxes...

This is the answer I get from hubby while he's busy doing something else  But hopefully it answers your question well enough? TANDEM/TANDEMBOX - slightly curved sides, soft closing, carries more weight, elegant looking, can get cutlery organisers etc METABOX - straight sides, not soft closing...

If you can get your hands on the new Laminex Diamondgloss surfaces brochure, they have used a diamondgloss laminate as a splash and it looks AWESOME!! The colour they use in the brochure is a new colour called Light Wengeblock. Have googled it but doesn't show this picture so best if you pop into a...

I checked this out but turns out it's very expensive. Can't find the exact price in my notes, but I don't think it was much cheaper than painted glass. :( Limited colour range too. i will check prices today and get back to you

I admit, that we want aesthetics as well, there are things I dislike, like timber doors in front of melamine cupboards. But I don't mind if a kitchen is white or visible plywood. Kitchens other than melamine are very expensive here, but I am really reluctant because of the damage water does to ever...

Due to budget and not being allowed the Matrix glass tiles I want, I'm considering getting a sheet of coloured glass the width of 900mm cooktop (to the bottom of the rangehood) and then the rest of the niche standard white gloss tiles. Ideally yes I'd like the whole thing in glass, but looking at 1...

Hi all, DH and I are looking for the 'hanging' type lights that you would hang 3 in a row over your kitchen island. Does anyone have pictures of their lights? We went to a few lighting retailers but couldn't find anything we liked. Any ideas? Thanks ::wink:: the trick to hanging lights is the spaci...
the trick to hanging lights is the spacing ,if you want 3 lights then divide the space by 4 and you have your centres

go 18mm. 25mm are wrong they will be to heavy and your doors will sag. without being offensive to the reply ,rubbish ,modern day hinges of any quality will hold up to 15 kg of weight easily I was waiting for a reply of such. It all comes down to the dimensions of the door. If you had a short but wi...

Is there any advantage of either? no discernable difference except for the cost of the extra thickness ,although the thicker panels do look better on waterfall ends but i would use 33 mm thick as they look chunkier

Was wondering if you can get the drawers with the handleless look (fingerpulls, shadowline, bevelled edge???) in laminate instead of 2pack to bring the costs down? After a matte/ semi gloss finish. Don't want the aluminium strip, want to keep a clean look. Is there a big price difference between th...

Does it really matter either way? Is there a better way to do this or is it all much of a muchn...

I personally find most sinks too small. If you clean a big pot, wok, or the shelves in your fridge they are always too small. And there is not enough drying space. the sink industry have been supplying smaller bowls in sinks progressivley now for several years ,mostly because more and more kitchens...
