We are weighing up the same options at the moment :) We have opted for a low deck made from Merbau... thats what we had at our previous house, and we loved it.... Merbau is very hard wearing, and only needs a coat of oil every year or two.... decking oil is not too pricy, and super easy to recoat wi...

Hi Renee :) Congrats!! We are loving our Urbis! Its a great size... only we would have had bigger bedrooms for the kid... we found out I was pregnant with our newest daughter just after signing contracts!! If we knew there was going to be three kid, we may have opted for a four bedroom plus a rumpus...

yep, 40x40 ;) I think its probably too late to alter the contracts, but its worth asking your sales guy anyway, just incase they have not started drafting them yet. I think the dune infill should look fine. Dune is one of those neutral colours... should look okay I think. I guess its onlu a coat of ...

:) yes, site costs can be a bit risky ... :-/ Our infills look okay.... probably would have painted ours the same colour as our windows (paperbark) rather than jasper (same as our facia and guttering), but its not too bad.... would probably chose lighter rather than dark if I had my time again..... ...

Hi there BJC, Welcome :) just read through this thread to hear about my highs and lows whilst building the Urbis (alpha range) with JG king Ballarat.... mostly good experience...only minor irritations really ;) Would advise you to ask for a extra coat of paint... and be picky about plaster joins... ...

Hiya BPuppet ;) Sorry for the delay in my reply! Busy times! :) the Bamboo is great... easy to clean, doesnt dent easily at all (passes the kids test).... it does seem to scratch a bit, but if you put pads on your chair legs etc, you can avoid that issue... all timber scratches .... and I would prob...
