Sorry to cause any confusion. We are building the Glenlea 29 with Cl@rendon, not the Waterfall. The display home of Glenlea 29 is in Oran Park Town and has the amore inclusions. But this topic (cupboard over the fridge) seems to be applying to many of us. I think it's deplorable.

I just want to say thanks to GFdo for raising the subject of the cupboard over the fridge, on page 12 of this thread, and also for the response from baley@the farms. We are due to sign our plans this week, and after reading this thread I checked our kitchen drawings and saw that our cupboard was mis...

Here are a couple of examples on this forum where the builder takes responsible for electricity charges: (I have typed the user's name and their comment) aldavies3 - The owner is responsible for all water usage charges during the building period. With the electricity, the contract states, "The ...

A wonderful post HellDad! Whilst this forum is brilliant to find help when a problem arises or simply to vent, it is wonderfully reasurring to read success stories such as yours. We have recently switched to Cl@rendon after wasting 8 months and $$$ with our previous project builder who were too diso...

Hi Helldad - hope you don't mind that I'm adding a post more than a year after the last one. I wanted to ask about your Optus installation please. Did Optus have to dig a trench from your private pole to the house or was there an underground conduit/drawstring installed by the builder? Also, we are ...

Yes, your answer was helpful and much appreciated. Sorry it's taken so long to say thanks - especially as you took time out from your holiday. Hope you had a great time - I've always wanted to go to Germany, particularly near to Christmas as I've heard it's quite special. Optus have confirmed that t...

Hi Micklou This is our first entry on this forum. We are also at the early stages of a knockdown rebuild in the Sutherland Shire. We have chosen a floor plan with a project builder (display home was at Spring Farm) and had the Contour Survey and Soil Test done. We received a quote which has been ame...

My heart goes out to you MickLou. I'll continue to keep fingers crossed. As was the case with justcamping, we also changed builders after our first choice didn't work out. Something to consider maybe. Obviously I don't know your specific issues, so I don't know if this will be of any help but DH &am...

Perhaps the local paper should also investigate how SSC can recategorise residential blocks as being in a 'flood plain' without the courtesy of notifying the owners, let alone allowing second opinions or appeals. ML - it must have been such a shock finding out from C. But I'm sure you'll be delighte...

We walked away. We signed our tender and paid $4k in September 2009. In December, we finally received a set of plans which were badly drawn up, so we asked for an explanation. The response was that they were so busy, our drawings were contracted out to a trainee! No qualified/experienced person had ...

ML, I am 99.9% convinced that we will be in the same position as you. We have a backward sloping block, with no current stormwater system/easements anywhere. As with themax, our current house is 50-60 years old. I also think it highly probable that our builder will not mention this issue until the l...

Hi themax, that was so kind of you to PM all that detail. When you were first presented with that long list, I can imagine you uttered an expletive or 2! I'm sure this KDR process is ageing me - definitely a few more wrinkles around the eyes and forehead already and I haven't even got to council sta...
