You will have an excess charge on your insurance say $400. So this means how ever much the job costs the insurance will pay the extra cost above that $400 and you are expected to pay that $400. If it is only a small fence or the cost isn't that much more than your excess it isn't worth it losing you...

Do you have the roadside collection? Sorry, what is roadside collection? . Some lucky people get the council come around a couple times a year to collect large objects so sometimes you see streets full of old sofas, Tv's beds etc left on the side of the road for collection. Sasha :)

Come up to the Far North as after Cyclone Larry the council tried to sell the mulch to people but after a while the mountains of mulch was a bit much so you can help yourself to as much as you want or pay $100 for a massive lorry load! Sasha :)

We have just started out on the owner builder side of things and I'm known to jump the gun a bit so I've been looking at costings and budgetting the build before we have even got our owner builder course under our belt let alone the pack (which should be here any day now hopefully) and all I can say...

Thanks Earl I like the high gloss finish as I want a very straight lined kitchen with no handles (push doors/drawers instead) I have been told to stay away from two pack though as I have 2 kids and I've been told they can get damaged easily, is this true? I was told that you can get a few high gloss...

Our block is on quite hard sandy soil a great home to the million sand flies that love to bite me or rather wee on me :shock: Can anyone recommend a good insecticide to kill off these little blighters when we start off the build one that will last a while? Sasha :)

I think vinyl doors are a terrible product for use in kitchens. Can I butt in and ask what product in your opinion is the better option? as I would be very interested to here yours or anybody's view. Sasha :)

I have a 5 metre long work bench which is a bit of a feature as it is in the centre of the house looking out onto the outdoor area so I want something with the WOW factor...this is something that hubbie has no say whatsoever over :D I do want it to be clutter free and very smooth looking I did like ...

It does make you wonder but then I suppose it is what the profit margin is for some (not all) kitchen fitters are after!!! I was looking on a website and they said the new trend will be wooden benchtops as you're in the design business have you seen much of this as I've seen a few photos and it look...

Thanks Michelle as I was under the impression Granite or Caesarstone was a good work top to have because you could put down hot pans on it without causing any damage so I'm glad you have said otherwise before I went and did it and wrecked a very good but expensive worktop :wink: Sasha :)

Whilst checking out the options for our kitchen we were offered a man made material "Caesarstone" instead of Granite they told me that this was in just as hard wearing as Granite but unlike Granite which has natural fault lines this doesn't therfore making it a better buy.
