I noticed a week or two ago that my back fence had a lean to it :( I had everything crossed hoping that it was due to the easement that they had been digging on for the blocks behind me, so I called stockland and they sent someone out to check it - yup it is due to their digging so they are going t...
Great news! Why can't all building problems be solved as easily?

Hey guys, I have a question before I blow my top off tomorrow... I just got a $300+ gas bill for the new place which I don't even have any appliances for and I don't even live there yet!! Would you agree that I am not responsible for paying this bill? They have my name and my mobile number, but I n...
I believe the builder should be responsible for it. It's a relief to know that we aren't the only ones with a high gas ...

My Fencer assured me that it would all be to speck - unfortunately I have used the ones that aren't to be mentioned and they are grey - I don't really mind so much. You know it doesn't really matter. A fence is a fence. Maybe I'll get the rest of mine in a Christmas stocking.  Now you'v...

Hi - Does anyone know with regards to the fencing, if we are able to have 'grey ridge' posts and rails to match the sheeting? Our contract states that they to be 'espresso black' but I am sure I have seen fences with 'grey ridge' posts around... Thanks heaps :) I've seen lots of fences around that ...

Im sorry to hear about your troubles too Haven :( We're still waiting for Stockland to do something about it, but have been in contact with COnsumer Affairs - they think its fairly straigh forward, its Stocklands responsibility to fix so they've told us to contact them again which we did, and haven...
Thanks, Bam. Was your fence part of a Stockland landscape/fencing package? We missed out on that, and had to organise o...

You'd think if you were a fencing contractor, you'd be able to read a plan and measure correctly. So true! Such a simple task, and they can't get it right! ::hyst:: I'm half considering starting up my own ethical fencing company.

WARNING Hi, it's been brought to my attention that residents (myself included) have a particular company (PM for info) bookmarked for fencing. DON"T USE THEM!! They have done some houses and installed the fences incorrectly. Some people have lost up to 2m of their backyard due to the fencing n...

Mpcj, congratulations on your progress! Nice to have things underway! We chose an Austral brick colour that is not as dark as Homestead Tan, but still a darker brown brick. It's Homestead Blackwood, which was not at the display when we visited, as it was a newer brick. Our choice was pretty much a s...

TC, happy that PCI went well for you. :: Regarding the builder's cleaning process, my husband is still cleaning inside the window sills, where a lot of dirt has been trapped inside. Building1, I spent the first term of this school year taking my children to school in the area that the new house was being built. It was a 35-40 minute trip to the area, but I took the children to 2 schools, primary and secondary, so it was actually a 2 hour round trip for me every morning and afte...
