I can confirm the following: The job has not been tiled as yet and will be nailed off at 200mm centres along all studs as you have correctly pointed out. Tough call. I would expect the tiles to finish and then the cornice. Kinda like my mirror in the ensuite. I think what you are describing is a squareset finish where the tiles go all the way to the roof with no cornice like this: I think both are good depending on what you have selected for the res...

Wow it's looking great since I was last in here, I love your colour choices so far :) Thanks Hels! choosing colours took alot out of us it was sooo confusing glad its matching up quite nicely :). I know we couldnt believe it either square set wtf lol! makes a big difference wish we put square set everywhere! yeah timber is actually correct if you look from the other side its actually a wider beam compared to standard. Great post Erin :)! you are so right when we went out looking at displays we didn't go out searching for customer service we went out there to pick the house that suits us, and what gave us the BEST deal!
