I can confirm the following: The job has not been tiled as yet and will be nailed off at 200mm centres along all studs as you have correctly pointed out. Tough call. I would expect the tiles to finish and then the cornice. Kinda like my mirror in the ensuite. I think what you are describing is a squareset finish where the tiles go all the way to the roof with no cornice like this: I think both are good depending on what you have selected for the res...

I know we couldnt believe it either square set wtf lol! makes a big difference wish we put square set everywhere! yeah timber is actually correct if you look from the other side its actually a wider beam compared to standard.
