Thanks for all your advice & explaining how the weight is distributed. I'm much more confident with hanging them now.

Hi Serialstyler, like CEK, I am a little worried about your knowledge around how to fix wall cabinets to the wall. I would never like to see you have a cabinet full of glasses or crockery come down and take someone out. Maybe you could hire someone to fit your wall cabinets? In saying that, fixing ...
Totally agree Wow! So both of you agree that 4 screws would hold up a 16kg cabinet, or even two, plus plates cups in th...

Our house is cladded in colorbond so could I bolt it through the stud & through the cladding? I am assuming the colorbond is on the outside?? and you have gyprock inside?? Yes, you are correct. And we took photographs of the pipes & wiring before the gyprock went up so should have no proble...

Hi folks. Our kitchen is basically a straight line kitchen at the moment with a pantry to the side but we are hoping to install a dishwasher. If we put it next to the pantry like in the below picture, we would gain some much needed bench space but can that happen? I have been reading about how dishw...

Hi folks, Just wondering what plants people would recommend for us. We need screening plants for one side of our fence. Our neighbour does not maintain their yard very well & we want to screen the fence, without hedging to block both weeds & long grass along their fenceline. My thought would...

Thanks serialstyler Would putting shelves only to one side of the tv make it look odd? I will have to look for pics. Love the idea of a chrome bowl on the table. The pics have made my wall look blue buts it's a charcol grey. Sorry about getting the navy wall wrong but maybe if you added some navy b...

Eye level is obviously good but if you want to hang artwork above a high piece fo furniture, eye level just won't work. Many bedheads are quite high at the moment so artwork does end up higher than eye level.

I like the openess, maybe just some art on the large wall opposite to the living room and a simple sofa table. Maybe something like this: I can visualise some floating shelves to the left of the entertainment unit. Some sort of flowers or greenery on the breakfast bar at the wall. A pendant over the...

OK, so measure the entire wall above the bedhead. Takeaway the height of the picture, then divide by three. That is a good distance from the top of your bed head to the bottom of your picture. That should leave a space twice that height from the ceiling to the top of the print. It's a nice balance &...

A company named SO-FON does some versions of the bottom combination. Most bedding stores can order from them.

The print above the bed is adorable. Your colour choice is so classy especially with your bedroom suite, looks like great quality furniture.

To give the room a more open feel, ensure beds have low foot ends. Upholstered beds are in at the moment but my suggestion is a dark colour for the bed head as oil from your head can discolour. Plain bed linen is better with patterns kept to the cushions. White sheets are crisp & fresh always. A...

Hi folks, I purchased a tv unit & office desk in a mahogany colour, on the cheap when we were broke & had no furniture. All our other furniture is a lot less red, either a light walnut or teak sort of colour so the mahogany colour really looks out of place. Is there something I can do to gra...
