Hey guys, Just after some general info on subdividing blocks?? Can anyone tell me what is involved?? Sewerage connections, electricity, titles, etc. Have had thoughts about buying an old house on about 900 square metres, knocking down the exisiting residence and subdividing the block to sell. :lol: ...

I agree with mark_23!!! That looks sensational!!! :D We were going to have a cappucino colour to match our gutters and portico but am thinking maybe we could go that colour garage door, with the cappucino colour just for the portico and gutters... :) Hmmm, decisions decisions!! lol! Thanks for that Jesstibb! We are thinking it is glass as well!! Will soon find out for sure when I speak to the designer but either way I am not too fussed! Kek has posted pics of her door with the glass highlights... very nice and bright!! 8)

Thanks kek!! :) I have just spoken to the consultant, they advised that the hilite (sp? highlightI think!) is glass! They said we can upgrade it at colour selections, to frosted etc... Do you have a blog or pic of your front door so we can we can see what it looks like with glass above it?? :lol: Am...

Ha ha!!!!!! :D All good, thank you for your kind words though!! We are expecting our plans any day now and have holes in our block from the soil test!! I have never been so excited to see holes in dirt before!! lol :lol:

Hey Mark! We to are building with Statesman, and should be getting our plans and reports beack sometime in January!! They have quoted us $12400 for footings for example, but I suspect this may be a little too low... :lol: So anyways, we will keep you posted and let you know how we go! Would be good ...

I think the average pre-construction period seems to be between 3-5 months depending on land titles and such? :? Ours is looking to be 3-4 months, then another 4-5 to build, so not overly bad really!!! Fingers crossed for the best laid plans of mice and men... :lol:
