For your reference Performance Labels: Window assemblies in housing, except timber windows, must be labelled so the label can be seen when it is in situ. For timber windows and window assemblies for non-housing locations, either a label or a certificate is required. Please note windows must not be l...

Just dont be too demanding, you need their help and want to keep them on side What I suspect is that the manufacturer has supplied the glazing, and the framing is most likely from China. The Builder would have known someone within the manufacturer to get a certificate signed. Hence both are in brea...

Have you approached the window manufacturer directly? Performance lables and indicators are a code requirement and you could also request test reports. Withhold payment until youre satisified and disucss the issue directly with your builder and inform them that you are (not "will") withol...

My builder has issued invoice for lock-up stage. He has not completed the agreed work even after passing two week of the due date for payment. I simply requested him to kindly confirm, very next day of the issuance of invoice, whether he has completed the agreed work. On 7/7/24 (the due date for pa...

I have recently obtained a certificate from the certifier, purportedly issued by the glazier. However, doubts have arisen regarding its authenticity due to several reasons. Firstly, the certifier has shifted responsibility to the Builder, who, in turn, is refusing to provide clarification and is see...

This is most probably the reason After further questioning the builder, I was told that there is an EPS foam on top of the board and he told me the render has a mesh. I am not satisfied with his answear and the cracks are getting wider.

Hi all Following the recent heavy rainfall in Sydney, I am keen on redirecting water away from the house's base as much as possible. The existing drainage is insufficient, and the path currently has weed matting covered with gravel. Unfortunately, due to council restrictions, concrete cannot be used...

So... I'm painting some barndoors in black gloss. I gave up on the aquanamel paint and moved to a oil based gloss enamel. However, regardless of the application method (roller, roller and brush, paint gun) the paint has little bubbles form. Most pop as it dries, but some don't and being gloss and b...

The downpipe just around the cormer is weird as it is connected to another downpipe by plumbing that downpipe across the wall and around the corner. The downpipe around the corner then goes underground to one would assume the vertical riser but maybe it connects to the storm water and the vertical ...

Pipe 1 is a vertical riser. A vertical riser rises from a subsurface pipe that is supplied by one or more remote downpipes. You have a downpipe just around the corner that is fitted with a cap (flush outlet) close to the ground. This downpipe should have being plumbed directly to the tank's meshed ...

Can you send a photo of cracks? The way you apply render to the blueboard should be: base coat with glued mesh, then texture coat. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/104513_1705301732.jpg

Its the flashing and is normal. Some builders cover them up others just leave them handing. You can cover it up with an aluminium bracket or ask the builder.
