If it was me, I would just find a builder that agreed to my terms of occupancy. If he doesn't, goodbye builder. There are so many builders out there, there will probably be many who will agree.

One thing I have notice is that there are a lot of people suggesting to add additional noggins in walls for TV's, etc. In my opinion, that is a very bad idea. I don't want to knock this thread but to be honest, most of the suggestions are just plain old common sense. I am a sparky (industrial) so perhaps I look at it differently from a lay person.
