Hi, new here...
We're renovating our holiday unit and could use some fresh ideas as to layout of kitchen/dining/lounge.
The unit is tiny, so trying to maximise lounging area to accommodate overnight guests as well as making it feel more spacious. Previous owners renovated and moved kitchen closer to entry door and along outside facing wall. We feel it may be better to put kitchen back to original location near the bathroom to define area.
Galley style with drawers, sink and dishwasher.
Fridge with microwave on top, cupboard and built in oven and a narrow 2 burner cooktop to fit.
I don't think a huge food store/pantry is necessary, but a dishwasher is essential.
Rangehood above cooktop, ducting to outside. Perhaps a row of high cupboards spanning whole wall, above bathroom door (not shown).
Distance between cabinets is 800 mm, is this too narrow?
Would prefer to use Ikea or other flatpack for a cost effective reno.
Takes up more room, but has better storage. The corners are tricky to design.
Ikea cabinets won't fit the layout as per design 1, but it looks good!
The pictures below show dimensions and a basic idea of layout.
We are a small family (one teenager) and we enjoy having guests.
Any ideas would be most appreciated, thanks.
Design 2... Takes up too much space
Picture 3... Ikea cupboards are too big
