Our eaves arnt done yet - about a week away - and only our wet area floor tiles are done. Im guessing tilers will come back after kitchen and bathroom cabinets are installed. Which is hopefully early next week. Plumber there today attaching our tanks. Enjoy your peak tonight Re: Our first build northern NSW with coral homes 348Mar 29, 2017 7:03 pm Not yet. Our tiler took a little longer as he wasnt told what sort of tiles we had because we owner supplied so he had to go and buy things to finish and he hated the bluestone because it took so much time to cut and put up on his own haha so he'll be finished tomorrow. Great communication coral... We got our next payment invoice though for fit out so i think and am hoping painting the next couple of days. All the tins are there. Today i had to run up to tweed heads and drop off our owner supplied sink (last minute stuff around thanks coral) to the stone boys so they can cut the benches to fit. He said they wouldve started that today but once again no communication so theyll start monday!. We got notification that our next payment will be our last payment too!!! So we need to shop for home and content insurance and organise the check and things. So exciting its nearly over!! Sounds like our area has a delay with painting so we might be waiting awhile Re: Our first build northern NSW with coral homes 353Mar 29, 2017 7:36 pm NicMac03 Looks great. Sounds like our area has a delay with painting so we might be waiting awhile I know it looks so much brighter. So so happy. Oh man Can not wait for stone. Its the one thing ive really been wanting to see. I really hope our painting guys are good. All the posts ive seen about the **** paint jobs are making me anxious. Id rather come in and spray myself or pay one of our friends to do a good job. Re: Our first build northern NSW with coral homes 357Mar 30, 2017 4:08 pm My parents just built a Coral Home on the north coast, they have had nothing but trouble, Ive seen some good reviews about coral homes but wondering why they had so much trouble. They sold there house around the time plans came out of council, decided to rent for 6 months. 6 months turned into 1 year to build.unskilled tradesman mainly and a supervisor who thought he could sweet talk around them. it got to a stage they didnt even careless about all the faults they just wanted to stop paying dead rent, they finally moved in this week. These are just a few things that had happened, gyprock went up before brickwork, croocked guttering, the tiler broke so many tiles they had to order another box because he was 1 tile short and had the nerve to ask can we use another colour tile, they were charged out of area fee to cover tradie's travel accommodation, and yet the bricklayers slept in tents onsite', tradies got bogged from rain when delivering so they decided to use spare roof tiles to put under the tyres, the stove was delivered a couple hours later it was stolen obviously inside job. door locks not fitted correctly. the list just goes on and on, no tradies didn't show up until weeks later, another contractor came in and commented what poor workmanship it seemed the tradies working for coral homes didnt know what they were doing please visit peoples homes built with this company before building.and ask if they had problems. other sites reviews seem to be deleted when making complaint im hoping this one doesnt get removed Re: Our first build northern NSW with coral homes 358Mar 30, 2017 10:57 pm Sorry to hear! Where on the north coast? We have had a great run with trades really. Ss is not good at talking but does a pretty good job and has done with a few of our friends who are building too. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has built with Montgomery in the last few years on the Northern Beaches? I don't see the see them around, as I would love to ask how happy… 0 3189 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4338 |
