Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea 137Feb 21, 2017 7:37 am Yes patience is a virtue. Unfortunately I don't have much!! lol From memory the contract allows them up to around ten - twelve weeks, they have already been 'onsite' for nearly two weeks already. Marcus said that it shouldn't take anywhere near ten weeks so maybe in a month or so? Not really sure, whilst we want to get in we also want everything to be done properly, so not too stressed. We have waited this long and a few extra weeks, in the scheme of things, is not a lot, as long as we continue to see progress - seeing things happening keeps you happy. Went past last night and the downpipes have been installed, just have to be connected to the underground drains/pipes, so assuming that is happening soon. Heating and cooling guys should be onsite this week as well as the data guy. Our side fences (back fence already done) start today so should be done in a few days too. My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea 138Feb 22, 2017 10:05 am That's great. Yes I agree, better to get everything done properly. You have come this far and waited this long so in the scheme of things a few extra weeks isn't going to hurt if it means ending up with a beautiful, high quality home. Keep the pics coming! Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea 139Mar 03, 2017 11:41 am Few more bits and pieces have been done Mirrors installed Heating and cooling vents done and controller installed Fences finished Next week the carpenter should be back to finish the facade, eaves, and a few bits internally, hopefully shower screens and splashback too. Carpet and painter are scheduled for week after - hope everything stays on track My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea 140Mar 03, 2017 1:41 pm Ohh Tash I finally had a few spare mins to read your thread. I am so sorry that you had to go through that We are completely the same with Watersun - fell in love with the floor plan and the way we could alter it to be what we wanted. It appears we have very similar taste - our bricks are very similar, as is our bench top and a lot of the furniture I will be following the rest of your progress closesly! Fingers crossed you are in very soon! Hi VK, Think it's worth investing time in an Owner Builder course to equip you with basic knowledge on Australian Building Industry and its regulations. Also, I suggest… 11 23610 Hi brains trust, We had Essastone Unique Calacatta specificed for our bench tops. This has now since been discontinued. What is a good equal alternative? Thank you! 0 131 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds. That’s why we… 5 16289 |
