I think the SMs plan is to take advantage of the great weather and get the roof on in the next few days. Wonder how long roofing takes, we have sarking too. Bit of water pooling on the first floor flooring, hopefully they'll replace those boards once the roof is on. I think we have trusses tomorrow but then we also have sarking and then colourbond. Not even sure whether gutters and facia need to go on before or after! I was also asked today whether they replace the upper level floors once he roof goes on. We had some heavy downpours over the weekend too! They haven't cut out my laundry chute so I'm curious... Your house is bigger so it might take two full days. No work today, although there was a supervisor making sure the scaffold was safe and secure. He said facia and gutter will be delivered today, work starts tomorrow. It's like watching paint dry, although not literally (yet) sadly! Re: Our Metricon Liberty 45 on the Northern Beaches, Sydney 317Apr 27, 2016 5:34 pm Mrs JM, think you can do it either way. For us it's gutters & facias first, then roof tiles, then complete first floor Hebel. But I've also read other builds where the roof was first then gutters etc. What amazes me though is these builds are scheduled to be done within 32 weeks but the actual work takes place over a few days, then nothing for a week then another burst of activity, then quiet again. It's probably only about 50 days of actual work! Re: Our Metricon Liberty 45 on the Northern Beaches, Sydney 318Apr 27, 2016 7:30 pm VistaDream Mrs JM, think you can do it either way. He is trying to reassure me that they can still make our PCI date by just getting really tight with scheduling things back to back... Although 18 weeks into a 40 week build and roof trusses going up Tomorrow lol I'm not too sure!
