Thanks Rose. I am worried sick with the pool. It continues to leak, we are getting a guy today. He seems very confident and determine to find the leak, so hopefully we get to the bottom of it.

Did he manage to find the source? Thanks for asking Rose. I thought building industry was bad but pool building industry is full of Cowboys! After a few failed attempts and people trying to rip us off. We were lucky to find a guy who is very decent and was determined to find the leak. I am confident he will get to the bottom of it. It has been very depressing and I am so over it. Our landscaping work also has come to a halt as we are caught between two councils in the damn amalgamations. We have been waiting on the inspector to come and look at the cross over. Wondering what build time they specified in the contract and what penalties they specified if they went over time? Hi Daniel, Franklin is a beautiful design, it is so wide and has a great street presence. We absolutely love the house and even now marvel how well it has been designed. The contact build time is 32 weeks but this gets adjusted for rain and x'mas shut down (5 weeks). So if you get caught to this add another couple of months to 32 weeks build. The liquidation damage was a generous $30per day. Our build took it's time, we took exactly an year. We were meant to have handover 3rd week of Feb but only had it mid May. However we did do many structural changes and upgrade a lot of things so that may have added some of the additional time. Good luck! viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Building Metricon Franklin 40 Sydney 2229Jun 27, 2016 9:04 pm Franky40 Thanks for asking Rose. I thought building industry was bad but pool building industry is full of Cowboys! After a few failed attempts and people trying to rip us off. We were lucky to find a guy who is very decent and was determined to find the leak. He found one of the pipes broken, it looked like it was maliciously damaged and driven right in. I have a bad feeling the pool company might have a hand in this anyway can't prove either way. This damage was done "after" the leak had stated to happen. Could be when the pool company came to inspect (hubby left them alone in the site). The leak has reduced substantially but there is still a bit of leak from somewhere. We need to get him back to check it out, I am confident he will get to the bottom of it. It has been very depressing and I am so over it. We have managed to fix the pool leak! We had to replace the hydro static valve and the pool has not lost water for over 24hrs . This is such a relief! It also proves the pool company was trying to take us for a ride ! Now with the leak fixed, I will be sending a letter of demand to the pool company to reimburse the cost of fixing and also fix the pool level as it is out and out of tolerance! This will probably end up in FT The cross over was poured earlier in the week, hopefully the layback and kerb will be done tomorrow. I want turf soo badly sick of the dust everywhere! viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Building Metricon Franklin 40 Sydney 2234Jun 30, 2016 10:21 pm Great to hear the leak has been resolved. If we put a pelmet then it will be fine. We had more dramas with landscaping - we told of the plants we want 6 weeks ago and now they have come back and said they want pot sizes. They have given us zero guidance on this, and said they wont come back ARGHHHHHHHHH We have Metricon inspection shortly, so will be going to bunnings after I am over it. The diameter of the pot or the volume of the pot. I don't know much about pot sizes. I had always assumed larger the pot the more maturer/expensive the plant. Maybe that's not the case. Hope your inspection went well. With all our dramas with the pool we have been a bit slack with recording all the issues on the M Website. Better get cracking with that! viewtopic.php?t=78985 Re: Building Metricon Franklin 40 Sydney 2240Jul 01, 2016 5:59 pm Franky40 monalisa Franky Do you know much about pot sizes. Yes i think larger is mature plant. Seriously such a bad morning. These ppl drove us nuts!!!!!! Messages after messages and emails. Really rude and arrogant. We had told them plants 6 weeks ago and all of a sudden they raised about pot sizes. they said they wont come back etc. We wanted hydrangeas at the back turns out these are not in season (bunnings told me as these ppl had ignored our email 6 weeks ago). They are very good at crazy making. The landscaper said we can take plants out of the contract. Who is to say he will return the funds? I don't trust. So we decided to put gardenias at the back fence... it will be same for the side fence but we can revisit it later as for now we want these ppl gone for good! On the other hand, M inspection went really well. The inspector was one of the loveliest people we have met! He was knowledgeable and listened to the issues we raised. He was just excellent. I can't speak highly enough. This was the only light hearted part of the day. He joked and was relaxed. He said he will send us a special painter as we have really good eye sight and picked issues .... he asked whether we took blue berries to sharpen it and picked things which would have otherwise gone unoticed. He went above and beyond i would say. I know we are thorough but did we drop the ball with landscaping. Not our fault these clowns turn out as such. i want it over now. My poor sister have had to put up with his wife's h@rassment.
