Browse Forums Building A New House Building with Metricon 4926Mar 21, 2017 6:41 pm No majors, but everything they find it's like a major to me lol. Could be uneven floor, damaged wraps, missed noggins, too many things to mention etc.. Slab was only a few that they rectified while inspector was onsite The intimidating one is frame Inspection. Could get 30+ pages of findings but all fixable. It's just hard to digest @ first lol but our inspectors go through it with you Re: Building with Metricon 4927Mar 21, 2017 11:45 pm Did a walkthrough this afternoon along with my SM. Painting is on, and tiling in the main areas will commence sometime this week or next. Downpipes too should be going in soon enough, quite essential when you consider the rains in Qld at the moment. If you've had it done how long did it take? Re: Building with Metricon 4931Mar 22, 2017 10:51 am Definitely get it fixed. I think a few members here got it re-done as well. Craftsmanship is getting worst and worst these days. Re: Building with Metricon 4932Mar 22, 2017 10:55 am It is an easy fix but many builders don't bother (hard to get the brickies)... all they need to do is apply a layer of thick mortar on top it so it will look like a straight line... you can definitely request it to be fixed... but even the Metricon display home in my town has the same finish... I posted the pics in someone's thread... Re: Building with Metricon 4933Mar 22, 2017 11:36 am That would drive me nuts Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Building with Metricon 4934Mar 22, 2017 4:44 pm Looking at these I thought I'd check mine out & I think I'm pretty happy with how mine turned out... Jason, thanks for the pic, man i love your bricks with the off white mortar, makes such a difference!!! Your join does look pretty neat Re: Building with Metricon 4936Mar 22, 2017 6:24 pm Hey guys, We received our enclosed invoice today, but the renderings not completed and there's no garage door or door between the garage and house internals (which isn't going to be lockable anyway). How have you guys gone about telling M that you aren't ready to pay the invoice until the work is completed? I checked our definition and it looks to me like they either need a lockable door between garage and internal or garage door installed. Right now there is 1 external door missing and two windows missing glass. So not even locked up.
