Simonds have handed the keys over but it's still not finished. Painting is terrible, no builders clean, missing the steel infil on our big door... Such a mess! That's terrible hope they fix everything soon Re: Simonds Modified Palisade - Brentwood Forest - Frame is 275Feb 17, 2016 4:23 pm Wow floors look awesome and it looks like a home! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. Everything looks amazing - I think anyone would love to live in that beautiful home. I can see why you changed the door to a window in the TV room - it gives you a lot more flexibility with the furniture placement. We are still stuck on decisions about flooring - husband is interested in vinyl planks at the mo and he says he wants carpet in the bedrooms as it is cheaper But your flooring looks awesome in the master bedroom and I find it so much easier to be able to keep floors dust-free by sweeping compared to having to vacuum clean carpets. When you are back from Melbourne I'd love to see a pick of your rendered facade. After much thinking back and forth we have changed from the standard Portland (which we didn't mind really) to the Masterton same as you - it does have that bit more grandeur from the street. Enjoy your time in Melbourne - you must be exhausted after all the stress over the last few weeks. Next time you come back drop both Megera and I a line as it seems we'd both like to meet you Re: Simonds Modified Palisade - Brentwood Forest - Frame is 277Feb 20, 2016 8:54 pm We are choosing the Masterton too, it was either that or the Brighton but we prefer the windows on the Masterton. I've not seen many examples of what it can look like though, only Simonds own pictures Re: Simonds Modified Palisade - Brentwood Forest - Frame is 278Feb 20, 2016 9:01 pm No problem guys, render was just painted Friday so I'll get you some pics tomorrow. We wondered if the shower would be heard in that room Re: Simonds Modified Palisade - Brentwood Forest - Frame is 280Feb 21, 2016 2:45 pm We don't have soundproofing (or a door) to the ensuite, but I don't think you can really hear it in Bed 2, it's not even bothersome in Bed 1 really. One thing I would look at though is we have a bath vent that leads out from the bath into bed 2, really it should have gone directly outside. And the vent keeps falling off the wall too.
