Re: Coral Homes general build thread 7311Feb 08, 2017 3:00 pm Hi All, had my Clipsal appointment on Monday. I really wanted a power point in the side of my island bench for blender electric frypan etc for when I need to use them. The chick at clipsal told me Coral does not allow it. I asked her why and she said its because they have to run power to the island. I said to her well the power is there for the diswaher and microwave so what does it matter but she said the only one I could have is one that pops up. So sits flat in the bench but i was not keen to cut into our stone top! So i just left it but the more I think about it the more i get annoyed because i will have to run an extension lead when I want to use the island for cooking. Which is not ideal with babies around! What has everyone else done?? I will be pi$$ed if I can't get one. The island bench is the hub of the kitchen where all the prep takes place! I would question it.
