Checked mine last night & the 4 shelves have been spaced at 30cm each (in fairness I didn't think to specify a desired spacing assuming they would be better spaced up the wall). However due to the spacing they've used there's a lot of wasted space in the pantry as the top shelf is only 1.2m high so there's basically half a wall wasted and the gap in the shelves means bigger cereal boxes etc will only fit on the top shelf. Hope that makes sense. I'm guessing my chances of getting them changed are slim at best. Im at work so cant measure yet, but yes i store my bigger cereal boxes, in addition to the smaller appliances, such as electric cheese grater, blender, milkshake maker etc. the space at the bottom beneath my first shelf fits my cake mixer, icecream maker, deep frier and other bigger appliances. In between I find I have enough space for stuff besides food items like recipe books, appliance manuals etc. then again i had a much smaller pantry in my last place so this one is bigger, plus its only for 2 lol. I think getting them changed might be up to how accommodating your ss is and how far in the process the shelves have been put in. I had a shelf and hanger removed from my walk in robe and didnt get charged a variation for this. There is so much space lost because of all the bulky timber _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 6450Nov 30, 2016 12:29 pm Hobbes Just wondering if anyone who got the standard supply pineboard shelving fitted in their pantry can tell me what gap/spacing they have between each of the shelves. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 6451Nov 30, 2016 3:56 pm Sorry to harp on about handover stuff. Ok so I think I know where I was getting confused- the final amount is to be paid at 'practical completion' but is this actually handover rather than the PC inspection itself? Because my contract definitely says the final payment is due at practical completion. The last payment will be a combination of bank funds and our savings for all the post contract variations. But my bank ordinarily needs me to lodge a progress claim when the stage is reached and I'm guessing they need to do a final inspection and valuation? A couple of weeks away now so who should I contact? C U S T O M. C O R A L. We have Cooper grey on walls and Alaska charcoal on floors and around bath. Hoping he may have started walls to get an idea of how it's lookj v when I pop over today. The Cooper grey is similar to heartwood white( which we have as our Main floor) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 6459Dec 01, 2016 4:43 am Wow howd you do that render.. it looks great! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
