Remember, there are some stages where there is a short wait in-between. But over all, most projects finished on or before contract time. Ours was approximately 3 weeks before end of contract. Though sometimes I felt things could be done in half the time, you just have to be a little patient. Pre-construction is the worst with its long delays and progress. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1234Apr 09, 2014 2:51 pm My contract says 40 weeks. Its a villina 32 with no render. It's the longest contract I have heard of and I'm on a dead flat block Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1235Apr 09, 2014 2:58 pm fingalbrad My contract says 40 weeks. Its a villina 32 with no render. It's the longest contract I have heard of and I'm on a dead flat block Wow! that is a long one. Normally 34 weeks, from all the Vilina's being built last year. Have you asked M the reasons why so long? Interesting to find out. Ours was Santorini and contract said 34, finished in ~31 weeks (from porta-loo to keys). Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1236Apr 09, 2014 3:08 pm The construction manager doesn't know why. She doesn't decide on that part. This is week twelve from when they started earth would and I have most bricks of the first floor done and ask the scaffolding was out up on Monday. Doors this sound slow or normal? Anyway you have to catch up Our frame arrived today the second truck full of goodies pulled up while hubby was there. Very exciting ! Our 20 day countdown finished nearly two weeks ago, and there is still no action on our block. In the last week of the countdown, it did rain a lot, so I expected things might be a day or two delayed. But we haven't had any rain for nearly a week, and our block has quite a slope, so its not as if it wouldn't drain away. We walked around it on the weekend, and its certainly not wet at all. Spoke with the SS yesterday, and he said that the excavator is (apparently) checking on the block daily, but feels it is too wet to do any work there yet. Brilliant sunshine for days now, but the forecast is for rain returning tomorrow, and hanging around for days. If thats the case, we can forget about anything happenning next week too. I had thought that once we got past the 20 day countdown, well that it would be go-go-go ........ so far it seems to be far from it. I get so excited heading over to have a look most days, and get so disappointed when I drive around the corner and see an empty block. But if I don't go, and they actually do start work, then I'll miss the chance to take my photos to catch each stage of the build. I'm really happy for everyone else who is seeing their build moving ahead...... I just wish I could be excited with our build too. Gee I feel for you we paid our 3500 in early July and it did seem to take forever and I thought we would never get there. One day you will drive around the corner and something exciting will be happening. I hope it is any day now and I can't wait to hear all the details. I keep telling myself that it WILL start soon, and I would prefer they do it right rather than rush and get something wrong. And if it IS too wet, well I would rather wait a few more days. (Trying to be positive!) But I do really want them to start doing something!!!
