Hopefully the certificate is issued asap and the bank doesn't take to long to get their stuff done! It's so annoying seeing your house sitting there finished and you can't move in yet! My friend is building with another builder in Ambrosia and their house was finished weeks ago, but the builder fired the site supervisor and forgot to re-allocate their house!! So their walk through and everything was delayed by 2 and a half weeks!! And then the new site supervisor came in and was unhappy with the place plus their roof had caved in in the bathroom from a leak because of all the bad weather so it had to be fixed along with other things the old ss had been lazy with!! But they are finally getting their keys today so they are happy campers now! Goodluck pooks! We still haven't heard whether our walk through will definitely be next thursday! So fricken annoying! I went out to austral bricks so that the misses could have a look at the bricks... Wow she has expensive taste! Lol mind you the bricks she chose look amazing. It's the zinc brick. Top of the range brick, not looking forward seeing what HBC are going to try to sting us for those bricks. If they are too much might go with te truffle. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 1156May 09, 2014 6:11 pm We chose the Truffle (Category 2) on the Circa 21, and it cost $522. 19.03.14 - Land Settlement 15.04.14 - Building Permit 28.04.14 - Earthworks 14.05.14 - Slab Stage 20.05.14 - Frame Stage 11.06.14 - Lock Up Stage 03.07.14 - Fix Stage 15.08.14 - New Home Presentation Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 1157May 10, 2014 8:14 am My landscaping plans are showing 5 Eucalyptus Pauciflora (Snow gums) lining my driveway. Three on the side that borders the neighbours' driveway, and 2 on the opposite side of the driveway. Even the dwarf variety of that tree can grow to between 4m and 7m. Surely that's not a good idea, so close to a driveway. My land is only 12.5m wide! What do you think? It's 1.5 metres tall when planted. I don't know what the obsession is with snow gum but I'm seeing them everywhere. I'm thinking of pulling it out. The rest of our plants are shrubs, that's the only tree. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 1160May 10, 2014 2:42 pm ruby123 how did you get your landscaping plans gaviscon girl? It's 1.5 metres tall when planted. I don't know what the obsession is with snow gum but I'm seeing them everywhere. I'm thinking of pulling it out. The rest of our plants are shrubs, that's the only tree. The only thing I can think of is something I saw this morning... They suck up water from swampy areas. If you have a swamp and don't want one, plant a Eucalyptus Pauciflora! So with the clay soil, they might be beneficial. But when we go into another drought, they'll be seeking water under my driveway. Though the choice of plants is at the landscapers' discretion, I never signed up to have 5 trees lining my driveway. The contract says 6 shrubs and 15 plants. On top of it, Parks Edge Design Guidelines stipulate that I have to plant a tree from a 100 litre pot. I've chosen a Mop Top Robinia which seems to be a respectable little tree that I can plant things under. For my small lot, that's enough in front. It's not a flora and fauna reserve, for God's sake.
