Nowwe just have to wait on the land! We went there on saturday and they had all the pipes on the land so hopefully they'll go in soon, does anyone know what has to happen after all the underground pipes are done? Were set to title in Feb (we've been delayed it was supposed to be ready by October) Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 383Oct 22, 2013 5:09 pm That's excellent news crackers4! My understanding is that after all the sewage pipes/water pipes are connected then it's just a matter of leveling the lot and completing the street/road in general...could be wrong but that's how I saw mine in stages! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 387Oct 23, 2013 9:41 am Paint Colours! For those of you who have done your Colour Selections, are the paint colour choices limited to those in "the gift shop" (the selections studio), or can you choose another Solver paint colour? - Can you choose different colours for different rooms? Or do they want you to pick one colour throughout? - I don't want my ceilings white - I want them a much lighter shade of the wall colour - will that be possible? - I would like my internal doors and door frames painted a charcoal colour - I'm assuming this will be prohibitively expensive / impossible? Please let me know any information you have about paint choices. Thanks! 19.03.14 - Land Settlement 15.04.14 - Building Permit 28.04.14 - Earthworks 14.05.14 - Slab Stage 20.05.14 - Frame Stage 11.06.14 - Lock Up Stage 03.07.14 - Fix Stage 15.08.14 - New Home Presentation Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 388Oct 23, 2013 9:48 am From my pre-start, the ceilings are a standard white, and you pick a colour from the showroom which is for every wall and every internal door. I was specifically told they don't do feature walls... As for picking different colours, changing the door colour etc, it doesn't hurt to ask. The worst they could say is no, or do it for a fee. Maybe if you picked a light wall colour you could do the doors yourself after handover? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 389Oct 23, 2013 10:19 am I was told the same this as ez85- had to have the same colour walls throughout but I got to pick a wall colour and a ceiling colour. I didn't ask about doors so worth a try! I know category 1 was whites/creams so you might be looking at extra expenses for other categories. The whole pre-start day is an absolute blur... As I'm sure you'll experience as well if you haven't already! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 391Oct 23, 2013 3:58 pm One interesting thing i have found from my sales guy is that HBC dont do Niches as well as Glass Shelves now, as there are water proofing issues !! where i am supposed to keep my things then..? I just had a response from Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure who I contacted in regards to the bushfire provisions for Livingston Cranbourne. Interesting to know... My lot was determined a bushfire prone area on 8 September 2011. On 25 October 2012 it was removed from BPA as part of a review of growth areas. On 8 August 2013 it was determined to be back in BPA, as upon the state-side review of the BPA, the development had not progressed as first advised and the bushfire hazard (grassland hazard) was still present at the time of review and ground truthing. Hmm....this would be why we are affected and not our neighbours 5 houses down- because we are located at the end of the street- closest to grass areas. I'm quite satisfied now happy to know further information. At least it will hopefully help with the heating/cooling.
