Yes almost the same, Subtle Hint was in the display home and comparing colour cards I choose the browner one but not a huge difference even when it is half strength! I do love it especially with the white arch's and roof. Your colour must be popular as the dennis house next to my mums is that also. Our skirtings/arch's are all done and they have done a really good job, fussy me doesn't have one complaint, hardly any brush marks you would think they sprayed it on! Cant wait till they are finished this week kitchen bench should go in then tiles. Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 83Sep 16, 2012 7:52 am Looks great! Really nice earthy tone. We are going for a colour called imagine (haymes) paint. And then white wash for roof and skirtings. looking forward to doing some feature walls once finished. Our site supervisor said he is testing a sealer as well at no extra charge so if this is correct that's a nice bonus. The rental im in all you have to do is flick the wall and it marks. Hopefully they leave some paint pots for future touch ups. Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 84Sep 18, 2012 5:14 pm our dream home Looks great! Really nice earthy tone. We had a sealer but think some of it was white and other half of house was a lighter version of the wall colour??? Either way it still gets 3 coats but think our roof only got 2 and was meant to get 3. I did notice some small tins in our house assumed these might be for left overs for us. Painters were meant to finish today but after going there today nothing has happened all day, wish they would do one job at a time instead of coming and going, still needs a second coat in whole house and edges haven't even started in half the house, tilers had to delay till Thur due to painting not finished but who knows if they will be able to start then... Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 85Sep 18, 2012 6:34 pm Great to hear they are at that stage, you must be excited that you are getting closer now. Our SS said that he leaves the painting of the final coat until last because he has had tradies in and out bumping walls with ladders and found it to be better that way... I think he only told me this so I won't have a fit if I see marks on it lol... So sounds like they are pretty close for you .. did they say when you will get the keys?? bit of a bugger about the delay on tiles, hopefully by the weekend you will be able to see them laid. Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 86Sep 18, 2012 8:28 pm No date as yet, SS has always said and in contract also will advise when painting completed. So if that was finished I might know! Wont help anyway as we wanted to be in by end of this month as we have to be out of where we are now, lucky we might get a bit longer here just have to wait and see, might be a last minute move. I am guessing at least the middle of Oct due to changing the garage door they said 4-5 week and only confirmed last week! Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 87Sep 19, 2012 6:39 am What did they have to change the door? How annoying for you! Hopefully they can get the garage door sooner for you! Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 88Sep 19, 2012 8:17 am I actually changed it as the cedar one doesn't match at all, we changed to chestnut in the deco wood range, they look more like real timber and come in 9 colours. Hope I picked the right colour now I have changed it! Will cry if it looks bad as cost so much extra. Re: Our Hartley - Painting has begun! 89Sep 19, 2012 9:20 am I wish I upgraded to the wood look! But was not sure how much extra it was going to be. I wish they had the prices listed at the colour appointment. We went for monument with the sectional slimline look.. We have some timber cladding and the door is a wood finish we went for a chocolate stain.. Fingers crossed it is still going to be ok! Yours will look fantasic with he garage door:) Re: Our Hartley - Painting finished and floor tiles almost d 90Sep 21, 2012 4:13 pm Bit of excitement this week, painting is now finished and tiler started yesterday, first 2 tile pictures were from just after lunch time and last one at end of the day, couldn't believe it when I went there how much they had done. Really happy with the timber staining of the front windows was originally thinking it would be light stain but really liking the dark stain to match the garage doors. Tiler has now done all of the bathroom and half of the entry, next will be the ensuite and walls. Tiling after 1 day! Timber door stained, front doors are darker stain to internal doors. Carpet sample we like but need to find out how much & pink feature wall for my 5 year old Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 91Sep 21, 2012 5:01 pm Looking good love the pink wall wanted a colour called ruby rose for the games room! Tiles have gone in fast that's great just think by the end of next week it should be all done Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 92Sep 21, 2012 6:23 pm I spoke to the SS today, he said to have lights at house this week for fit off and basins to! So assuming electrical and plumbing done it is really only kitchen cupboards to be returned and kitchen bench top and carpet. He also said we might be able to move in without garage doors as they could be few weeks away!!! Not sure if the bank will be okay with it but better than having to look at it sit empty for weeks. There were 3 tilers working so obviously makes a difference, my mum's tiler had one strip of tiles from the front door to the end of the living room done in 1st day so was quite amazed! My 3 year old isn't happy I didn't get a blue wall in his bedroom, he has a good memory as he keeps mentioning it. My excuse is he has toy story stickers going on his wall. Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 93Sep 21, 2012 6:42 pm My 7 year old wants orange with a cheetah sticker decal I got off eBay he is obsessed with wild animals! Something I might consider once we are in. I do want a few feature walls but I didn't get them to do it and looking now I wish I did.. once we are in I will have to spend a few weekends painting looking forward to seeing your kitchen pics once all done. Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 95Sep 21, 2012 7:11 pm Did u supply the paint? How did u know he was going to be on site do I just ask the SS ? Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 96Sep 21, 2012 7:15 pm No that included paint think it was 2 litres, it is never to late just speak with trades people if they happy to do it! Just tell ss who u want to speak to before they start. Re: Our Hartley - Painting, timber doors and tiling pic's! 97Sep 21, 2012 8:03 pm Yeah will do! That's a pretty good price I might be wrong but I think the builder was charging like $250 a wall. Like I said I might be wrong I've built three times and can't remember which builder it was lol.. So $110 is good? I just have to figure out what colours and where. Re: Our Hartley - Stone bench tops are in & tile pic's! 98Sep 27, 2012 9:42 am We have had a little more progress with the kitchen bench tops going in yesterday and the tiler finished laying all the tiles, now just to finish grouting and then I get the job of cleaning all the wax off every tile in the house! Tiler has done a great job, we did get rid of the shower niche in the ensuite as it was in the centre of the feature wall and would have ruined it with shampoo bottles sitting there, didn't put much though into that, I also got the tiler to tile the kick boards of the vanity units, hubby think they look a bit 70's bit I was just to match the kitchen. Electrician is back tomorrow to fit off all the lights and plumbers next week so my bath will be all installed. Not much more to do other than all the little bits that need fixing, the garage door is going to hold completion up but might get to move in without them but SS is saying end of month because it is a big house..... if you ask me not much different, only 2 bathrooms like every other house, it is just all the unfinished things like no roof under portico and bit above alfresco doors? unsure why these weren't done when plaster there, now he has to come back, along with painter and every other trade just to drag it all out a bit longer. Hopefully it doesn't going into November! Loving the bench tops, just wish the cupboards were all back so it was finished and I can see how it all looks together Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The ensuite feature wall tile, bath shower & the beautiful tiling job on the shower floor Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The letter box I am going to make stained to match the timber windows Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our Hartley - Stone bench tops are in & tile pic's! 99Sep 27, 2012 11:53 am It looks beautiful I love your kitchen cupboards ...
