But the true brick image is a darker brown. I think its a Mac thing. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All new built homes look like display homes... until the furniture goes in. Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 205Sep 04, 2011 10:35 pm Starz Hi gogo, My Mac is also showing the brick in a light cream colour on the elevation. But the true brick image is a darker brown. I think its a Mac thing. Maybe I need to stop worrying, because the brick is definitely darker than the mockup, I have been thinking I need to change the cladding to the western myall to add contrast but it is proably only because the brick is showing lighter than what it is So yep that was a waste of money Actually will send it to my work computer and check it out tomorrow. Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 206Sep 04, 2011 11:07 pm Hi Gogo I don't have a calibrated monitor, but it doesn't look like the colours match to the samples on mine. The windows, gutters and facia on the pic don't look dark enough to be monument and the bricks look a lighter colour too. Hopefully your mock-up looks alright on your work computer tomorrow. If not maybe ask them to do it again free of charge with the correct colours or disregard the visual and stick with your samples. You chose them originally for a reason, they look like they will go together well Btw your facade design looks awesome. Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 207Sep 05, 2011 6:19 am the bricks are too brown. your bricks seem greyer. tell em to re do it with the proper colours or you want your money back Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 208Sep 05, 2011 6:55 am Yeah will have a look on work monitor and if it still doesnt look right then will email him and see what he thinks. I don't want to sound like I am unhappy with the service, because I am not, I just need to know if it is in fact a close comparison in which case I may need to rethink my colours for more contrast. Thanks Peas, I agree with the monument and I am hoping that having darker windows fascia and gutter will give more contrast Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 211Sep 05, 2011 9:20 am Yeah, I thought there's a software/program in google that can do this for us? btw, if you have time on Saturday, why don't you visit M3triicon colour Studio at Bella Vista , Lexington Drive? It's open for public until 2pm I think. You can see any color, kitchen, bricks, etc. Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 212Sep 05, 2011 6:36 pm Hope the OP doesn't mind if I jump in here... I corrected the colour for the gutters, fascia and windows. In regards to the bricks, they can be a tricky one to match. Often the pattern samples the companies show online don't match the bricks in the real world. This image is a good example of how the bricks show up in direct light. I feel now as though I have the contrast I want, also with the photo that D@n attached you can see the brick with monument, and I like the contrast, just wondering now whether I should change the cladding or garage to monument??? I originally chose both the cladding and garage as Dune to balance the house Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 214Sep 05, 2011 7:08 pm Hi gogo - Good idea to change windows etc. to Monument to match roof. You know me - I am always going for less is best, so my instinct would be to match the garage too with the other metal work. Or you could try it in a mock-up first? Yes, you can do this in Google sketch-up, that's what my DH does. But it is not exactly easy (he is a computer guy so it is fun for him - a head ache for me!). $45 doesn't sound like very much at all, really. T the windows/gutters/fascia were always monument, the visual was incorrect.I was told best not to do garage as monument due to the heat and basix, which was why I chose Dune. I agree $45 isnt expensive and yes I can do any changes as a mock up first, luckily Zen dont charge for changes Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 217Sep 05, 2011 9:07 pm I like the Dune bits. I think it would be too stark to just have Monument everywhere. LOVE the 3D sketches!! Besides, I've been looking around, light colour for garage door will last longer with trend.. Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 219Sep 06, 2011 6:30 am monument garage doors look cheap (imo) compared to a lighter garage door. a cheap project home will usually match the windows, gutter, and garage door (and usually in a dark colour) and you are no cheap project home! yours is very pretty with lots of contrasts is your front door light? or in monument..ha ha Re: Gogo's build-Facade mock up help.. 220Sep 06, 2011 8:33 am Ok Dune it is, I love the actual colour of Dune, so was happy when I did my original selections, MY new mantra: Do not thinking about it again!!!
