Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1361Oct 14, 2011 8:48 pm Naynay, we had our kitchen delivered after the gyprock was complete We hav had another week of great progress with all internal doors and wardrobe doors hung, waterproofing in bathrooms and laundry, cornices on and kitchen bulkhead finished, architraves done around windows and doors and skirts ready to go. I upgraded my front door handle to the omni trilock and it seems to be causing some grief having it installed. SS is getting a rep from gainsbourogh to come out this week to install it and we should see garage doors on this week too Still can't get a finish date yet. SS says late Nov Our blog: http://durhamsadventure.blogspot.com Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1362Oct 14, 2011 9:39 pm Natandash, OMG don't say that! LOL. I'm super super excited about this kitchen, I'll spend every spare minute out there staring at it. Spoke to BW today and have been told eaves are booked for Monday and gyprock for Tues, then starts the fit out. Getting exciting! AFM - our painter was due to start Wednesday but got held up at another job. Went past yesterday and he was there undercoating the frames etc. Very nice young bloke and he is painting the whole house himself. Says he will be done next Saturday. So excited, and if your SS says late Nov finish for you Natandash I am hoping for mid November as my wife is due to give birth to our second child end of november!!! Very exciting times indeed. If they hit those it will be alot of work. I just want this slab down and hopefully we will know where we stand regarding our house funds. This has to be the worst build I have ever had. No wonder we got our block cheap. Bit shocked on how much retaining we may need to do to have an even yard. Nothing too high luckily but long. We want to have some outdoor lights for our backyard. What looks best, wall mounted lights or eave fitted lights? Functionality we think wall would be best as better coverage with less lights. However we think eave fitted will look neater and not as obvious or visible.
