Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1332Oct 10, 2011 5:00 pm wow Mel, you must be close. Our painting is starting wednesday! If I can add to your question, do you only have one opportunity to give a list to Beechwood, or is there a period of time once your in to also find any errors and have them rectified?? Thanks! Second Build @ The Ponds Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1333Oct 10, 2011 6:55 pm melc500 We have just been told our "walk through" should happen in 2 weeks. Can anyone enlighten me on what this entails? Is it just a chance to walk through the house with the supervisor and pick errors? When do you actually get the keys? Do you have to make the final payment before you get keys?? Melc - yep its a inspection with the SS and you advise of all your issues and faults you find, then they will attempt to correct the faults, our handover of "keys" was 2 two weeks after this inspection. And YEP you have to make the final payment to get the keys! And yep we are still fighting our SS to come and finish the unfinished works that were listed, and we have been here for 3 weeks now, its never ending! I am calling him weekly and to no avail on when he will arrange the works to be completed. I have even complained to the GM! Had a small win of one thing but thats it! Arrragghhh! Hubby and I are writing them down now for our 3 months maintenance..... Mark - yep you give the list at PCI (practical completion inspection) and then you have your 90 day maintenance where you can raise things you missed, we already have a list happening and adding to it weekly! What you have done with your TV's is exactly what we want. Let me get this right then. You had Costa's do power point for both TV's after they were wall mounted. Right? In regards to connecting dvd player and foxtel, how have you hidden the cables? Have you had holes cut out into wall to allow the cords to be connected to tv? Did Costa's do this? Did you have to make any arrangements with the wall insualtion in rear lounge? My amin concern is that wall insulation will not allow for cables to be hidden in wall. Sorry about all the questions but want to get this right as hate idea of cables being seen. Wouldnt worry about the insulation to much as our guy had some fang dangle tools to get the wires through, but yes they are all hidden in the bottom of cabinet and feed from the TV and we also have another power point put in the bottom shelf as it is fixed cabinetry. Apollo did that (the kitchen people) whilst it looks diffcult if you can get some who does it all the time, it seemed quite easy for him and it was handy having Costa's there at the same time. Our guy also supplied all the brackets for the walls and all the HDMI cabling, we love it, he did a fab job, shame you arent in Sydney, but I am sure someone up there would do it to, everyone is getting these TV's now.
