We just received the free tender fr beechwood which does not include the rain garden. Is anyone here that has built with beechwood in kellyville area and who did you use to build a rain garden? Does the rain garden need to be submit to the council for approval? Thanks in advance Hi Dineisme, I am in final stages of tendering. Please PM ur number to discuss. Cheers Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13889Nov 21, 2016 1:55 pm LickitySplit Our build has been bang on target. 24 weeks since the slab went down. So looks like I spoke too soon. Went for the PCI today and there is still a weeks worth of work left to go. Cleaners were in there today cleaning but we still went through with the inspection to not delay it any further. Major items are gas isn't hooked up and the water tank isn't hooked up yet. The slab needed to be extended for the water tank to fit as the plans were for a 4000 ltr tank, where-as council upped it to 5000 ltr but Beechwood neglected to account for it. Gas is plumbed up, just waiting for gas company to put meter on the wall. All in all it is looking really good. We marked off a heap of paint issues through-out the house (Most of which I could have lived with to be honest), but the SS was more anal than I was and proceeded to mark off even the smallest of marks or drips. Keys are booked in for next monday now and I have pushed a few things back a week but will also give us time to get some quotes for the fence as we have two dogs that will need fences up before we can properly move in. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13890Nov 21, 2016 2:01 pm I have noticed our water metre hasnt been connected yet and they are just about to pour our slab. The other blocks of land in our estate that have started all have one. The council said i need to fill out a form and pay $500. Did anyone do this or did beechwood handle the water meter connection? Ours got connected no drama so I assume beechwood handled it. We didn't have to do anything through our council. Can anyone point me to where I could find it? Would they definitely have provided one? We had family emergencies when we signed contract and neglected to look at it. We are currently at 34 weeks, we were told September we would be in but still another two weeks off. He said he'd also give me a call each week for an update and he told me the days everything else was booked in for...why didnt they do that to begin with! So excited right now! Definitely sounds like an improvement on communication. Wish we had weekly updates. Ours is hopeless. Always sounded defeated when we spoke to him, always denied receiving phone calls when he clearly did and always having to follow up ourselves because he would never call back. Also tried to cover up a stain on the tiles that we knew about with a bucket during the PCI hoping we wouldn't see it. Sounds like they are finally getting the message about communication. So happy for you that you will get in this side of Christmas. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13897Nov 22, 2016 2:29 pm Gday everyone, great info on here, and loving many of the pics etc. We're about to start building a Verdelho 5 twist, untwisting the twist along with a few other mods. Only paid the $5500 initial deposit a few weeks ago. Few questions: Has anyone built similar and used the metallix brick range? How much extra did it cost? I really want a third garage too with under eave built out. Anyone done that or regretted not doing it? Thanks Re: Who is building with Beechwood 13898Nov 22, 2016 2:32 pm oldandgold68 Gday everyone, great info on here, and loving many of the pics etc. We're about to start building a Verdelho 5 twist, untwisting the twist along with a few other mods.
