Mernda & Doreen Residen 3751Oct 17, 2011 11:25 am magpiegirl Hi all - we are currently building in MV and our stockland contract is purchaser to fence and we did not include any fence allowance in our build contract. Assumed we would have to organise ourselves... Went to site yesterday and a fence has started to be built on our land on all sides! We are in a row of four houses and all have the fences being built. Do you think Stockland has decided to give us a free fence? We have not received a notice to fence and got such a shock when we saw the fence! Any ideas? That does seem a little strange (and uncharacteristically generous of a developer ), are there houses build on any of the other blocks surrounding you or any way you can get in contact with those owners, maybe they know something about it all. We have a house in Doreen. Built the PD Kensington 24 (with Alfresco & Rumpus option). We are in...Decorating in progress...pics to come soon... Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3752Oct 17, 2011 12:33 pm The houses are all in stages of being built - the one next door is same builder as ours. Will wait and see what unfolds... Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3753Oct 18, 2011 3:58 pm Stockland was to build one of the fences on my block. My land settled DEC last year and still no sign of the fence. They dont even return calls about it. I highly doubt stockland has organised it for you. Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residents 3754Oct 18, 2011 7:20 pm Went to the estate today after work. Did anyone see the poor jack russell that was hit and killed right at Bridge inn rd entry of Mernda Villages? Poor dog...they just left him there on the nature strip. On my way in I saw 2 cars with 2 ladies so I thought her dog ran across the road...but on my way back out I still saw him there all alone...if I had've been able too I would have picked him up and checked his tag or even taken him to the vet and see if he was chipped. Poor dog, he was someone's family member. Anyone know what happened? Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3755Oct 21, 2011 7:27 pm Is there a new Secondary School going up at Mernda Villages? or in Mernda? I was speaking to someone and they said the land had been pegged off for it? I can't seem to find any info on it, with google or the education dept. I know the proposed School on Cookes Rd has been knocked back, by the Liberal party. Does anyone have any info on the Mernda site? Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3756Oct 21, 2011 8:29 pm If you go onto melways online maps http://www.melway.com.au/online-maps/ and put in Breadalbane ave Mernda it shows the map with the proposed prep-year 12 school. A bank is a place that will lend you money only if you can prove that you don't need it... Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3757Oct 22, 2011 7:30 am thank's, same as the one on Cookes Rd, can't see it happening. Not for a while anyway. We were really hoping the one on Cookes Rd would be up and running by 2013. But Ted, put a stop to that. We need a Secondary College in Doreen/Mernda. It would be good, if they spent less money on roads that don't even need re-surfacing and built us a School for our kids. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3759Oct 22, 2011 4:36 pm Buttercup at least you have a sign, the one on Cooke's Rd, doesn't have one. Now we need some builders there. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3760Oct 22, 2011 4:39 pm It's a sales tactic, the sales people at Eminence, told everyone the School was going up. I spoke to the education dept, they contacted me back and said it was only a concept, the land was set aside for the School though. I also sent an email to Ted's office, no reply, I didn't expect one, won't be getting my vote the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11837 Do I need to concern about this pattern of crack?
