Love your bricks. I wish we knew they were an option in the Opal range. Love em! When do you move in? I have a question for people who have done the landscaping. I have a reasonable sized block of land with a slight slope - nothing major and have been quoted nearly $80,000 for the landscaping, including the driveway, all the concreting, the retaining wall, all the paving, all the trees/bushes (need three decent sized trees and another 16 smaller bushes - for 'privacy' according to council) and the lawn. Now I will be getting other quotes of course for each section or combined but I was wondering what people thought for around an average sized block in Sydney. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1606Jul 01, 2012 6:37 pm Villina28 - I thought your door had changed colour since Thursday however I can't believe the painters just went straight over the top of the old stain. I'd also be holding up payment until they replace the door or fix it properly. The rest of your house is looking great, love the glass mosaic tiles in the bathroom. We only found out those bricks were in the opal range by chance, it was our 3rd trip to PGH I think. As long as everything is fixed this week we should have keys Thursday. Probably won't be moving in for 3-4 weeks though as we need to get the painting and flooring done first. cem - Not sure how big your block is but ours is 520m2 and our landscaping and driveway is just under $20k combined. No retaining though as our block is almost flat. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1607Jul 01, 2012 7:26 pm cem Looks great Novo. I have a question for people who have done the landscaping. Hi Cem My sister had a sloping block about 660sq she paid $35 for landscaping including retaining walls but I think she purchased the brick blocks and then about 5K for the driveway. This included reasonably mature plants No other contreting involved though. I dare say you will get a better deal if you hire each contractor separatly as your landscaper is basically a Masterton and will charge on top of what the contractors charge him. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1608Jul 01, 2012 7:27 pm RIP Buddy we miss you terribly already viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1609Jul 01, 2012 11:14 pm Villina28 - House looks great. I really love your bathroom Do you think you'll get the keys this week? cem - thanks. Sorry no idea about landscaping prices, other than getting a concreter to do the driveway we are doing everything else ourselves. Our block is very flat, already has fences, and doesnt need retaining walls. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1612Jul 02, 2012 7:25 pm We've got a slight slope on our block, two things which will blow your budget out of the water if it happens... Hitting bedrock, and soil disposal. Both are very expensive Building Masterton Overture Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1613Jul 02, 2012 8:15 pm PowerballSam For the people that have done there electrical and Senteinal Apts. Make sure they put things in when they are suppose to... mine put all the cables in after the dry wall was put up. Yay, he then proceeded to make giant holes in the ceiling. Anything that we should keep an eye on? Or any thought what did be worth the upgrade. Upgrade one of your phone lines to Cat6 so you can use it as Internet cable. Most people have cordless phones these days with multiple handsets so you don't really need two phone lines. This saves you the cost of one of your Internet cables at about $100. Of course this advice is mute if you plan to go wireless. We didn't realize the paint colour choices with the mansion package were so limited and had to choose in a hurry but the colour is quite nice. Can you believe you have to pay extra for white? Very excited with the news. Time for this project to speed up Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1619Jul 02, 2012 9:27 pm PowerballSam - Good stuff. We are at around the same stage. I got my certification last Thursday. Had to fork out the 1% for the section 94 today though, money not well spent I also got an email from our PCC and she informed us that she will be ordering our pegout shortly. Hopefully it will all go into overdrive shortly Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 1620Jul 02, 2012 10:50 pm I've been quiet as not much is happening on our side, but I log on to the forum twice a day, at least, to catch-up 4 17023 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
