Or do as you say, hire a scissor lift, safety harnesses for all who are in the scissor lift and for people on your balcony and barricading for the area around the lift etc in case the couch gets dropped. Or use a block and tackle and too bad if someone gets squashed in the process. Which one will work out to cost less? New couch isn't so bad now. No offence……but I have seen and heard this so many times. You’re not the only one. I’d sell the one you have, buy a segmented lounge suite, this way you can carry one piece at a time. We found that even lifting out the sliding glass panel, the gap was no wider than the wooden front door. Of course if you have an extra-wide one, or a pair of doors that close together, then obviously the gap is not going to matter.
