Just thought we would let everyone know that Grout Perfect Australia is now selling DIY kits for new or old grout grout.
We have 16 colours for you to choose from and a application DVD for floors and walls. Please visit us at www.groutperfect.net.au for more info. If the DIY kit does not suit you than you may find a Grout Perfect applicator near you just go to our Find An Applicator page on our website.
Also, what is the estimated cost of a kit? We have about 120m2 of main flooring to do and then the wet areas also.
Thanks, Jaans
Hi Jaans
Sorry that I have not got back to your post as I have been on holidays.
Grout Perfects colour sealer is a must for new installs, the kits range from $38.50 up to $250 depending if you need to clean before applying. If you are sealing around 120 m2 than you will need 3 x 250 ml bottles that is if you have 600 x 600 porcelains which I am guessing.

@Craig
Thanks for your post earlier. The guys have just finished the grouting today, floors and wet areas! How long does grout take to set / dry and how long should I wait before applying Grout Perfect?
Do you still think I need about 3x250ml for the main floors? They are all 600x300 tiles with a 3mm gap (same for wet areas).
I have two bathrooms where the walls tiled to the ceiling, do you reckon a bottle each is enough? I'm guessing that one bottle for the floors of both will suffice as that'll be a smaller surface.
Main floors: 3-4 bottles in Oak / Malibu sand / Pewter 2: On the website it is difficult to guess the right colours - I'm trying to match the Ardex FSDD "travertine" colour of the grout?
Wet Area walls: 1-2 bottles in White / Sandy
Wet Area floors: 1-2 bottles in Jamoca / Brown (to match Mochiato)
Sorry for the 20 questions, I just wan't make sure I get it right.
Alternatively, I noticed you are in Brisbane (we are in Moggill). Would you be interested in doing the sealing of our tiles, and if so, what would you charge?

Hi Jaans
The amount of sealer required depends on the size of the area ( floor ) you have. One 250 ml bottle is more than enough for each bathroom. I will post out to you today your colour swab brochure.
You will have to wait 48 hours before you can colour seal new grout.
If you wanted an applicator to do it for you they charge around $22 per sq metre for a 600 x 300 tile that includes cleaning as well.
