Looking at a stone bench top, was wondering what the options were in regards to price: what are the cheaper options and what are the more expensive options.
I am after a white stone maybe with some silver specks in it.

We are putting silestone into our kitchen and bathrooms.
They give a 15year garrentee (5 more than most) and have an Anti-Bacterial treatment. They are a huge company in the US (5 times the size of CaesarStone)
I'm getting essastone dusk in my kitchen (lot of bench space in kitchen) and bathroom and ensuite (smaller benches). All up, within the building contract, this is costing me $4k. I mentioned it is in the building contract as there is, invariably, a builders margin in that cost.
Essastone also have a 15 year warranty and are owned by the Laminex group.
I know a friend who got a benchtop that looked like stone, but wasn't actually stone, and it could be moulded and shaped really easily. Not sure if it's cheaper but might be worth a call. Contact was Ced - 0435 862 564.
