I've written a lovey long post... hit save ... but now can't work out how to find the draft and get it back again???

You may have already figured this out but you should be able to see your draft by:

1. Clicking on 0 New Msgs (to the right of your avatar); then
2. Click 'Manage PM drafts' from the left 'Options' Menu

Thanks Homeone but it wasn't a PM that I lost ... it was a reply to a post.
I was adding to my thread, then hit 'save' and now I can't find it.
There's nothing in the "Manage PM Drafts' section..
